  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

The gas tank needs to be bigger on the Harvester models

I can personally attest to any Stellantis product(I had a JLURe for about 3 years) that the ~20% of that reserve gets eaten up real fast once they issue a recall not to charge it or park it inside, during winter of course, with no fix for 4 months. Happened twice. It'll now take me a lot to...

This gets me so fired up. If this comes to Idaho, please don't do it on a drill weekend.

I'm glad SM didn't have a Superbowl ad...

I saw during the game that it costs $8 million for 30 seconds. I'd much rather SM put that dough into the vehicle. Period. As a matter of fact, how's this for a commercial? Black fades to Scott's office, and he comes in frame and sits down. "We at Scout thought about buying a slot to...

    Re-think Headlight Design

I see what you're saying. You're saying one should vote for a politician based on what they value and stand for(amongst other things of course) versus hating the other candidate. If I'm understanding you correctly. I don't think that's the case here. I think the SM team had the task of...

List ONE thing you are most ? THANKFUL ? to see that Scout Motors incorporated

I've always been a huge proponent and advocate for some kind of a range extender. Out west the range anxiety is real. It truly is and we'll go 6+ hours in the car. We'll spend DAYS up in the woods camping/hunting. We'll hop off the pavement and drive another 60+ miles, another 2-3 hours on...

What's it like to take a road trip in a truck like the Terra (F-150 Lightning)?

Overall, I'll go back and read every little bit but we're headed out soon: This harkens back to what I've been saying for a while now. Well, since Musk revealed the Tesla Semi. The move to EVs will take a bit of a cultural shift in this country. As I have kids still, it's extremely uncommon for...

What's it like to take a road trip in a truck like the Terra (F-150 Lightning)?

I'm with you. Lotti my 12 A4 Avant was totaled while I was deployed, so with the new Audi ACC was a must. It's amazing because when we got it on the 4xe I was impartial. I mostly wanted a fully loaded 4xe. Now I can't live without it. Love it.

How about a Daily Mode and a Weekend Mode? Daily mode is a nice, simple, plush interior with voice commands and 75 different computer screens. Weekend mode see the screens suck in, panels swivel out for switches, knobs replaced with gear shifters, the stereo turns up to 16 out of 20, and the...

So what does everyone think of the first new Scout designs...

So the Jeep is 2" thinner, an inch shorter at the spare, and 2" longer by wheelbase. Which is something I always fought with when the Jeep guys and I would compare. They'd always tell me, "You can't go on trails. You're too big dude!" and then we'd run numbers. Likewise, if you put those two...

So what does everyone think of the first new Scout designs...

I will say it would be amazing to see a stripped down, vinyl floor, Bluetooth only radio, manual seat, bare bones SM Scout for like $35K brand new... There'd be Bronco, Jeep, Ram, Chevy, Toyota fans all clamoring for one. They'd all say, "Too affordable not to. I go to dinner in the truck. I...
