  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Vintage Scout Commercials/Ads

I’m the current president of an archery event that will celebrate 145 years in existence. It’s called Eastern Archery Association and the logo is a super cool Native American head (with feathers). So long as I’m president it won’t change. I respect the reasons for change but even most members...

Switching Harvester to All EV Model?

    LMAO! That’s fine-there’s a Lowe’s next door I can window shop in or a McD’s for some fries and a Coke 😀

Have a hunch this day and age those names won’t make it back. Fall under the derogatory term list even though they are tied to a historic vehicle

Curious why it has to be leased. I thought EV credit max was $7500 be it sale or lease? Am I misunderstanding something in the info I read or are you just a lease person? I’m thinking I am missing something as I’ve seen other posts mentioning leasing for tax credit

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

I was just told the other day from a supplier for residential that it really isn’t. That was my thought because I commented about the need for gas to run them. He said majority are now electric and very reasonable to run. Sales talk for sure but he said they sell a lot for like screen porches...

Agree. They seemed focused on on a select few but fun to see the aspects of the race. Different than what I always imagined it to be

Switching Harvester to All EV Model?

Didn’t know that. Have to check ours. I still hate going to Costco but now I could drop wife at door and just sit in car at charger to avoid the inside chaos 🤣

Agreed and BMW spent money on their own R&D. Helps give EV “start-ups” a bit of an edge over say the Big 3 that can use ICE sales to support their EV growth vs the start ups relying on investors $$. Now we will see what happens with Tesla, Lucid and Slate and any other viable start ups

Would agree but now that VW has a huge interest in the zonal I suspect they would prefer to make competition spend R&D money of their own to help level the playing field

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

I just saw the new Toyota EV has a radiant heater under the steering column. That’s a great idea. Realizing electric could feature radiant or infrared heating options throughout the car. Imagine it on the inside of the upper clam shell. Sitting on your tailgate watching your kids soccer game on...

Anxious to see it. I stashed my hat but I’m having a Scout Snuggy meets Onesie spandex outfit made. Short sleeve though. Casual wear but can also bike in it

Switching Harvester to All EV Model?

Curious if complexity refers to additional maintenance and costs because of engine vs. just BEV which is simple and requires virtually no service?
