  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    All terrain tires

Also, this will be my first EV - I guess I will figure out range later. :p

    All terrain tires

I've run Nitto Terra Grapplers on my Chevy and currently running Toyo Open Country on my Titan - I would gladly choose either for the Terra truck, very happy with the performance of both tires - powerful off road traction and quiet highway ride - as you can see, they are similar

As we get closer to launch. Feature Requests & Real‑World Feedback for Scout

I guess I had not seen it, super focused on the Terra, so I guess my eyes gloss over when I see the Traveler. But yes, that is precisely what I would like to have, for the truck

As we get closer to launch. Feature Requests & Real‑World Feedback for Scout

I agree, I hope it wasn't misunderstood that I wanted Scout to actually build the winch that goes on the Scout. (No need to reinvent the wheel) Obviously partner with a company like Warn and get a custom fitment. I went to Jeep's website and built a Wrangler and I could add a Warn for $2K. So...

As we get closer to launch. Feature Requests & Real‑World Feedback for Scout

🎯 Factory Winch Option - If Scout doesn't offer a factory-integrated winch option, it’s a missed opportunity for the overlanding market. For those of us who prefer solo expeditions, the ability to self-recover isn't just a luxury—it’s a safety requirement. I’d much rather pay a premium for a...

Don't let the Scout become a status symbol; why $60k misses the point of the Revival

So this thread is going a bit long in the tooth. But for those who are entertained, I thought I might add some fodder to the flame. I found an article Car and Driver "Best Off-Road Pickup Trucks for 2024" - twelve of the finest factory specials for rolling in the dirt. (Presumably one of the...

I got mine in the mail yesterday! Pleasant surprise!

Don't let the Scout become a status symbol; why $60k misses the point of the Revival

I have one simple response -(after reading the lengthy comments back and forth) I think the Scout is appropriately priced. tomgilotti stated - The original Jeep was superior off-road, but it was priced for soldiers and workers. He is correct, the Jeep new price in 1945 was approximately the...

EV reservation holders, would you consider the Harvester

Setting sticker shock aside for a moment - based on pure capability of the projected Scout Terra, what is the closest thing currently available - assuming the Scout Terra is named King of the BEV with "Real Truck" Credentials - my preliminary research and some interesting back and forth...

EV reservation holders, would you consider the Harvester

I was going to start a new thread but I found this one, which closely matches the topic I wanted to discuss. This might be lengthy but I figured you wouldn't mind. After reading the thread from beginning to end, several comment areas: 1- My timeline shows me that Scout debut date was 10/24/24...

Winch not permanent but with adapterplate on tow-hook

I also like this suggestion. I do like the ability to self recover, especially if I'm doing something a bit foolish to begin with. But agree with your sentiments of why carry it around constantly if you're not off-roading today? This could be a game changer if they partner up with a reliable...

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

The rails on the floor, if they are contemplating it - I would argue with Scout Executives - they're getting a bit gimmicky if they put rails on the floor in the cab. I've only used the rails on the floor of the BED on my Titan once I think. I haul a lot of stuff around and I either use the 4...

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

Yes, there is storage under the platform as well! For a discontinued truck, I like the way this rear seat area is configured. Can't speak to other manufacturers but all my friends seem to comment on it, when they see I have it like this, they wish their truck (Chevy/Ford/Ram,etc) did this...

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

I've read many posts and searched this forum, haven't quite found this suggestion, apologies if it's already out there. I'd like to see the rear seats fold up completely like the Nissan Titan does. This is a very handy feature, they have a little fold out bench under the seat, which then makes...

5klbs towing cap with gas range extender?

BeerParty, interestingly enough, when I have theoretical conversations with any AI chatbot of your choosing, the answer is almost always the same - It is the batteries. LFP batteries are less capable for delivering "power bursts" - i.e., the high instantaneous torque or power needed for heavy...

5klbs towing cap with gas range extender?

cyure, thank you for the information. I did in fact, edit my reservation and change it to the BEV, thanks to you. I don't pop on here often, nor look at the Scout website often either. I know what I want and I know I have to wait, so why torture myself? 😂 J Alynn, NW PA, surrounded by the...

5klbs towing cap with gas range extender?

Currently have reservations on a Terra w/ Harvester. If the numbers remain about the same, which I assume they probably will, I will most definitely switch it to the total EV Terra for the towing capability. It's not that I tow that much, or that often, but if I do, I want to know it will do...

I did NOT see this previously, thanks for sharing. I'll have to spend some more time in these forums!

TERRA OFFROAD BUMPERS WITH OPTIONAL WINCH AND LIGHTING COMBOS

I wonder if they could just steal a small bit of space from the FRUNK area and put a winch in there and have it as part of the OEM bumper? I do like the idea of self recovery, or at least attempting it. I've seen Ram Powerwagons come with a factory winch option, looks clean installed behind...
