  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

    Must haves to purchase…

I’m glad you stayed on the forum. Speaking for myself your knowledge and experience have really unclouded a lot of my thinking. That you live and travel in relative ‘charging deserts’ is reassuring.

I agree. Undercapitalization causes 90% of start-up business failures. That doesn’t mean Scout wont fail, but they seem to have a good foundation.

That’s impressive! If scout can deliver 1/3 of that I’m BEV all the way.

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

Yes, and I’d really like self folding as well. That would make it easier to get into my garage.

I volunteer to be a Missouri tester. Quiet drives in the country, around town, and to church. And maybe a little bushwhacking.

I wonder if we’ll have to have a paid membership to get a cheaper rate. This annoys me, and I don’t even drive EV yet.

It’s hard facing the truth about yourself sometimes, but sadly mine will be too.

Air suspension might be a big need if one opts for a pizza cutter tire on a taller, aero-type wheel/cover combo.

OOF! My reservation was in May and already the talk was 50K on reservations. That means fiscal 2029 for me. That’s ok, I can save up for more goodies.

Taking bets on the new color of the Traveler Concept to be seen soon...

I take this to mean—“your guess is way off”. I say metallic silver/white.

I’m with you on this. In fact I’m 99-44/100’s % going with the BEV. Not that the Harvester isn’t still a possibility, but the reason would have to be compellingly overwhelming. Good idea about the Scout videos, and they may be planning to do that as the production ramp-up matures.

“Grrrr….” Is right. I hope Scout and Honda kick lots of NADA fanny. I purchased my last two used vehicles from the local Toyota dealership and for years I was happy with the service received. About 3-4 years ago a large automotive group from the West coast purchased our locally owned Toyota...
