  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

We own EVs. Ask Us Anything.

So in doing some research there is a two wire point in which the Rivians 12v system can be jumped to allow for charging port to be opened if totally dead. But also states it’s a one way system so you can’t jump an ice car. So I’m guessing either while on charger that becomes hot or somebody’s...

We own EVs. Ask Us Anything.

So yesterday while running some errands I passed a charger with a Rivian attached but then a pair of jumper cables attached to what seems to be its trailer hitch and/or real close. The other end was attached to ice car next to charger. Why?

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

Don’t know if shown Dual zone heated seats where you can select lumbar or seat separately or both. I can drive all day with lumbar on but not necessarily my butt.

    Help Identifying?

By grill 71-72 Scout II grills were interchangeable tho. So if needed you could get one from junkyard and put on newer one.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

Yeah but our cars are more computer now than cars and just like our phones every so often the update causes issues. I am also installing more WiFi antennas in garages and outdoors by driveways due to failed car updates. Some cars WiFi antennas are let say subpar🤣🤣

Package options - what would you like bundled?

Analog clock. My first scout had a tilt-o-meter telling me my lean angle. I’ve only seen them on boats. Everybody loved it probably added by a previous owner. Did end up rolling that one anyway🤣🤣

    Color

Oh not me, my wife and I walk into dealers saying no black, white or play on gray. Unfortunately I’ve been looking at a new Grand Cherokee to replace her wrangler but she wants blue the only actual color the now have is burgundy. So she says “I’m okay I’ll keep my wrangler plus it matches my...

    Color

70s Jeep CJ5 and CJ7 used to have a metallic brown that I think could be considered bronze. Was one of my favorite colors in jeeps

Package options - what would you like bundled?

I like trim levels but don’t make me lose something unnecessary by upgrading trim package. Like color or rim style. I like styles being more progressive than either or. Within reason of course obviously you can’t have Cabana top and glass roof.

What do we think is going to happen on the 24th of October?

The Announcement of a Travelall! Logistically with the infrastructure they are building it wouldn’t take much tweaking to make a longer Traveler at this point of development. 🤯 What kind of wrench would that throw into everyone’s decision

Package options - what would you like bundled?

Package options - what would you like bundled?

I know à la cart is more of a dream/wish. @cyure off road package makes sense. That being said I hope all the packages make sense. I was looking into Accord hybrid before SM revelation. If you want heads-up display you have to order the touring. But originally (I believe they changed it) only...

What do we think is going to happen on the 24th of October?

À la carte ordering would be a nice announcement. No packages just a list of available options for us to pick and choose from.

    Scout Deal Breakers

I guess deal breaker for me is 90k+ for well equipped truck, not saying loaded. I’m not saying I can’t I just think I won’t pay that much for something that will ultimately depreciate for what 40yrs before appreciation. I think if that happens I will invest in classic Scout(or 2😀) which now...
