  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Scout Supply Merchandise Live

May I request that the Women's scoop neck T-shirt have some color options? I really like the shirt, but white won't last long for me :giggle:

    Seats made for americans.

Even with the most comfortable seats, I love having the left foot rest that I can push down on and off-load every once in a while! Hopefully that is available!

Just for fun…Have you named your Scout already?

I'm thinking Falkor. My jeep is named Loretta, and our camper was named Lynn.

Snow traction with lighter front end?

Thank you! I searched prior to starting a new thread, apparently my terms were not precise enough! 😀

Snow traction with lighter front end?

Looking for insight on traction with an EV that doesn't have the benefit of the engine weight over the front tires. Also adding the Harvester option and the additional 15 gallons of gas at the rear, will the front end remain stable in ice and snow? So many days this winter i couldn't get out of...

    Hey Lady Scouts!!

Your little Schnauzer is a cutie too! I'm in Michigan, by the way, so really interested in learning more about EV and cold weather issues. There were so many rumors out there that the batteries would be horrible in a michigan winter, just not sure what to belive!

    Hey Lady Scouts!!

I'm so glad you started this thread!! Was hoping there were some other ladies out there! At times the threads start to feel a bit like high school "shop" and I get lost! I've learned a lot about the EV world though, so thankful for the patient teachers on here. I've been driving a Jeep Wrangler...

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

100% agree! I even measured my garage opening and it's going to be snug!

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

Regarding the idea of powering your home in a power outage (which happens here frequently), how long could a vehicle actually power a few appliances before running out of juice, which would also strand you at home with no way to charge your vehicle? I'm new to the EV world and have a lot to learn!

What feature(s) do you hope that Scout does NOT include?

I'm all for the key fob! Much easier to throw in my pocket during a hike or bike ride when my phone stays in the car. Also, please be mindful of safety features for the women (especially) out there. I don't want to have my head down on my phone while walking to my car at night. Would love...

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

Hello fellow Scout lovers! I'm late to the party! I owned a '74 Scout II in the early 90's that I lost in a break-up and I only cried about leaving that truck! I've already reserved my Traveler!! I've tried going through a ton of these pages, but so many! I have only a few basic requests as a...
