  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Love this!

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

I'd never buy an EV pickup, but that being said and even though I drive a KIA PHEV, I really don't like the looks

    Dealership cartels - horror stories

Yah, read about that and it's horrible. Bet considerable funds are being passed under the table. This is what happens when a party has a ruling trifecta like NM has.

What are you driving until release?

A '23 Kia Sportage PHEV and an '02 F-250 Superduty Crew I picked up the afternoon before 9/11. I was tuning in stations when the first plane hit the tower

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

I'll make my decision on whether to keep my reservation to mid '26. The extended range battery (though still a rumor) RAV4 PHEV should be fairly availible by then.

This feature is on my '23 Sportage PHEV

I loved my XTerra and was supremely disappointed when they stopped production

    Traveler without rear tire carrier

Yah.... That too. Like buying cheap Chinese rubber floor mats....

What Song Will You Play First in Your New Scout?

Firefly Theme: "Take my love take my land Take me where I cannot stand I don't care cause I'm still free You can't take the sky from me There's no place I'd rather be Since I found Serenity"
  12. MasterSpam

Just for fun…Have you named your Scout already?

Serenity... all my cars are Serenity... "Take My Love, Take My Land, Take Me Where I Cannot Stand... There's No Place I'd Rather Be, 'Till I found Serenity..."

    Traveler without rear tire carrier

If you are fine with that, sure, but I personally feel it's a huge loss of interior cargo volume. If that was the only place Scout put it, it would be a major no buy for me.

    Traveler without rear tire carrier

The problem with removing the tire carrier is that there is no where else to carry a spare unless you put it on the roof rack, as the ICE is in the back. I still wonder how they will set up the ICE cooling.

Or the color of my teardrop camper

That looks great! But I won't buy a flat color after what a friend went through with the paint on his Taco.

I totally agree. They need to add a tan of some sort. There was one in the 'stripes renderings that would be great.
