  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Please make sure 1st edition vehicles work

I came across this video the other day and I wanted to bring it up to this forum to make sure it is taken into consideration especially considering there is a common person in all of this: current Scout CEO and former VW America CEO during the VW ID4 Launch... The main problem outlined in the...

    Charging a non-tesla at a super charger

Some good news for non-teslas getting access to the tesla supercharger network....This used to be the biggest difference between teslas and any other EV.

For those curious about EV power

I saw this today and I thought I would share this here. This demonstrates what an EV pick up truck is capable of.

Some good news for those who worry about charging infrastructure

https://chargedevs.com/newswire/shell-to-acquire-ev-charging-network-volta-for-169-million/ This article is saying that Shell is aquiring the EV charging network of Volta. There are lots of Volta chargers around the DMV where I live .....but I think this could be the start of something bigger...

    Sounds

Please do not add "engine noises" through the internal speakers. I have seen BMW do it in their hybrids, Mercedes in the eq, and ford in the mustang Mach e.... It never sounds real and it is cringe worthy. On the topic of sounds I know government regulations require EVs to make noises when...

What variation are you most interested in?

Hello all. I am curious what configuration everybody is most interested in. From what I read there are plenty of people looking for all of the versions that I will put on this poll. Considering that each version while similar they will still be essentially be different vehicles. They will likely...

    Battery pack idea

I have been reading a lot about newer battery technology that is possible. One idea that has floated around is sodium-ion batteries. Sodium is very similar to Lithium on the periodic table. The main trade off is that it is much more stable but at a cost of capacity. My suggestion is that if...

I don't know if there is a group for this area yet or maybe we can just create one. Let me know.

    EV focused suggestions

I have never even seen a real original scout so my recommendations are coming from a perspective of making it a great EV as well as a great scout. (in no specific order) - No haptic feedback buttons: I know the VW ID4 has already discontinued the use of the non-button-buttons but i just want to...
