  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Top Versatility

One of Scout II's most unique features was the versatility the owner had in choosing his/her top configuration. The new Scouts to date look to have three roof options: Steel top, Cabana, and Glass. However, they do lack the versatility between each for the owner. I myself was pretty...

    Harvester- No Gas Cap

I like what our Chevy vehicles have done with removing the need for a gas cap. It's a small detail, but a nice feature when pulling up to the gas station.

    Commercial Idea

I was sitting in a meeting today and looked down at my sleeve and saw the Scout "S" climbing a mountain. This could be a cool commercial with a Scout climbing the "S" and it fades into "Scout".

List ONE thing you are most ? THANKFUL ? to see that Scout Motors incorporated

Listing just one is tough! I've always been a dash guy. I'm thankful for the dash styling, colors and textures. I appreciate the nod to the original Scout II dash, while bringing in a modern touch.

    Online Purchasing Dashboard

What if you used the iconic (but new aged) speedometer at the top of the website page when you go to purchase your new Scout. The numbers however represent the price as you go through the steps of building your Scout on line. It could start as an original speedometer and fade into the new one...

    Scout Groupie Merch

If the Traveler and Terra tour locations and dates can be finalized (before Christmas ;) ;) ), how about a Scout t-shirt similar to a rock band shirt listing locations and a dates of the tour. It should start off with the October 24th date of coarse. Us Scout Motor groupies, would love to...

    Christmas Gift Ideas

⬆️⬆️ VOTE ⬆️⬆️ Scout Motors, with Christmas approaching and the family asking what we may want, can you push out some 18th scale Terra and Traveler models? As well as opening up the flood gates on Scout gear to buy! Scout Motors pint glasses, golf supplies with Scout Motors, more apparel...

    Terra - Roof Top Option

The glass roof top option looked amazing! Curious if anyone has seen or heard if the cabana top will also be an option on the Terra? That would be my choice if given the option.

    Harvester Talk: Q&A

Didn't see this detail till later when I was looking through my photos, but a nice subtle touch with the combine in the field on the Harvester door.

    Lessons Learned on Range Anxiety

The wife and I recently flew out to Denver for a long weekend get away (Whiskey Myers concert at Red Rock - highly recommend!). We rented our car through National, which allows you to pick any car in certain rows. As we approached this area to select one, we came across two EV options. I...

    Duck, Duck......Scout?

So my high school daughter drives a Jeep Wrangler and loves it! She also enjoys having these damn ducks on her dash that drive me crazy. I'm always giving her a hard time about them, but she enjoys the connections made with other Jeep owners. I realized I'm in the wrong on this one. Why...

    Old School Scouts

Finished my Scout II shop speakers tonight. Found some 6.5 LED speakers on Amazon that had the 7" outside diameter like the original headlights. My wife printed some headlights on a white t-shirt for me. I stretched it over the speakers for a true headlight look. The speakers themselves are...

    Camping / Overland Ideas

With the typical Scout enthusiast likely to venture off road, I figured a thread throwing out ideas on just that might be useful. I found myself watching the below video today, which had a couple ideas to think about. The Tesla apparently has a "Camping Mode". *What functions would you the...

    AI - Scout Concepts

I saw this FB post today and thought it was an interesting take. It would not allow me to share the post, so you will have to look for it on their FB page. Wondering who out there uses AI software, and would want to throw a few more out there. Who knows, it could strike up some conversation...

    Mirrors

This is another thing that the Bronco appears to do right. With my daughters Jeep, every time she takes off her doors she has to install different mirrors. Not a huge deal, but it does take a little more time and one more thing to store in the garage when not in use. Also with the Bronco set...

What are some ideas to throw at the frunk area?

    Preferred Vendors List

How about a thread listing off some of those brand names you have fell in love with from past use. The hope being Scout Motors reaches out and potentially partners up with them. Anything goes....winches, off road lights, tires, camping gear, apps, etc. Just trying to bring the cool factor up...

    Trailer / Towing Discussion

One of the draw backs to EV vehicles is the drastic decrease in range when towing. I'm wondering if Scout Motors can put some emphasis on this and lead the way to help overcome this problem, which leads to more potential buyers (especially with a full size truck model) Some initial thoughts...
