  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

    Grille color

Different grille colors. Silver or white. Maybe back panel between tailights. Steel wheels in black silver or white. I still think the skidplates should be black. Cmon' you photo shop guys, lets see what it looks like!

White and black top options for Traveler and Terra?

Will there be color option for the top to simulate the Scout II two tone look?

    Heat Pump?

Will there be a heat pump, not just for comfort inside but also to help the batteries in extreme heat and cold?

    AI is getting better

A couple of new renderings, still can't spell though:

    Honda Ridgeline 2 way tailgate

New Honda Ridgeline 2 way tailgate.

    More of a Ute

Fisker Alaskan Ute. With a removable back window and bulkhead. Add a backhalf top and it's a SUV! That is my idea of being one vehicle with different tops.

    Tesla dual motor LR Defender

I hope the new Scout does something similar to this. Dual motor and conventional solid axles and suspension similar to the aftermarket Jeep Wrangler setups. 400 HP and 400 mile range would be excellent.

    An Other Scout Forum

I like the green render on the title page, Especially the flares. Don't like the hidden Tesla door handles. https://www.scoutmotorsforum.com/

    Different packages

HD Off Road package, special bumpers, skid plates. Chrome trim Deluxe package. Blackout package. Regional and Rallye editions were mentioned before.

    Head light and tailight

Round 7" lights like the Jeep Wrangler but with Halos that wrap around for daylight running lights and side markers. Tail light shape like Scout II but half again larger with wrap around Halos. Top half red, middle amber turn and bottom back up. Front turn/ park like Scout II but larger. Lenses...

    has to be retro

VW got the new Beetle right. Also the 2005 Mustang and 2008 Challenger captured the Retro look, The new VW bus looks like they borrowed their SUV headlights. The Scout needs round headlights and wheelwells. You could superimpose a scout 800 and Scout II to get the proportions right. I personally...

    Scout II style window shape

The early renders had a huge blind spot at the rear window. Something more subtle would look better and have better visibility. Like this Toyota Tacoma rear door:

    I like this grille

Looks like a tasteful blend of early Scout and Scout II:

    Removable hardtop

An idea for removable hardtop. 2 piece with rear piece similar to this Isuzu Amigo hardtop. Front piece just a roof over the 4 doors attached to the windshield frame.
  17. Jim Nichols

Instead of separate box for pickup

You should make one version with different tops like Traveler/Terra pickup. Maybe 124" wheelbase because of the 4 doors. Then come out with the 2 door version that most here want. New Bronco 2 door is almost 40% of sales. It could be the same as the pickup from front door forward but on 100"...

    Recessed grille and tail lights

I think it would look good to have the grille recessed like the early Scout's. 77-79 Scout II grille and Scout II tail lights recessed also.
  19. Jim Nichols

    Proportions

I think most of the renderings have the body too tall and the windows too short. What are the dimensions of a Scout 800 and Scout II from bottom of rocker to bottom of window? Window top to bottom? I think the windshield angle is different on Scout 800 than Scout II.

    Chrome trim package

You could have a Deluxe version or chrome package. Mirror covers, door and tailgate handles. Chrome side trim like the picture below. Silver bumpers.
