  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Puddle light projection design

If SM does offer puddle/approach lights what should the projection design be. A general soft light glow? A red glow, the Scout logo? If you’ve got ideas throw them out. Maybe somebody has the ideal Easter egg? I like “go further” or “connect”

    Sunglass holder

I didn’t see this at reveal but will there be any designated sunglasses holder/storage area within the vehicles. As someone who has prescription glasses and sunglasses it’s nice to have a convenient area. Maybe a vertical “pocket” in the center console to keep them in place and safe?

    Windshield stickers

Early on for the Bronco6g forum there were comments made that stuck with me. Having owned a Bronco briefly I personally experienced it as well. Knowing the windshields are very upright and prone to chips and cracks, can manufacturer stickers be put on the side windows? Everyone loved the made...

    50 state vehicle

I think since Scott Keogh has labeled the Scouts as 50 states vehicles there should be an amazing vlog series done showing the scouts in all 50 states AND since Scouts are an 8 day a week vehicle the Scouts should spend a week in each state AND since they were originally touted as being a farm...

    Handling

So watching the new Scott Keogh interview he mentions that 90% of vehicle will be the same. But once you pull 50-60% of battery out and then mount an engine how is handling affected? Will the weight balance be the same? Will they adjust computer dynamics to offset a weight change? And...

    Carpet floor mats

Watching a YouTube video on the new Rivian R2. I know some don’t want carpet and I’m sure other do (I like both so I can swap depending on season). Needless to say I love the new carpet mats in the vehicle. Stylish and simple plaid. I like the rubber mats shown in the Scout prototypes but...

    New stories

Just figured I’d throw this thread up to alert when SM posts new articles under the Story tab. When you see a new one feel free to post. Anyway-two great new stories are up as well as the Terra breakdown that was posted 1/17. Enjoy! @Jamie@ScoutMotors thanks for the continued great work. Love...

    Hitch accessories

Will SM be offering branded truck nutz ? Preferably a female version too. That way we all know if you’re a Boy Scout or a Girl Scout ????

    Steering wheel stalks

Attached is a screen clip from NEVO, CES show video. This doesn’t quite show but in another video I can’t seem to find, the inset horizontal slats on the stalk appeared to go all the way through. Wondering if anyone else saw it or has any thoughts on whether slats serve a purpose or maybe just...

    Experience Center locations

@codythacker. Being as you seem to be involved with the retail side of things figured I’d “grill” you a bit and give Jamie a break. I’m assuming at this time SM still can’t say where experience centers will be but started wondering based on a lot of posts. Part of me thinks the 16 initial...

    A-pillar flip Sunvisor

Never seen this but sitting in the second row of our pilot on the way to a hockey game and was staring at the front window. you know this time of year when sun sets low and during rush hour. Ever get that weird side angle of light the upper shade can’t cover? What if there was a flip out, side...

    Multi-pedestrian detection

In light of the tragedy in New Orleans I think a study into using the front camera connection on the vehicles for detecting pedestrians/animals (deer), small objects (dropped boxes from a pick up)- over a certain number of objects 5+ when over a speed of like 10-15mph the vehicle just cuts...

    Camp mode

Well as I watched the holiday meeting several times I took note the the UX screens had various info displayed. Most were hard to read but eye catching nonetheless then to my surprise at around 1:10 in the video what Appears to be an great Easter egg popped up. Looks like a power...

    Tailgate paint option

So I’m looking at the pics from reveal and while I’m thinking tire carrier option on my traveler I’m wondering about rear panel on both vehicle tailgates. With the carrier the plastic panel makes sense because it’s covered but without the carrier does anyone else wonder if the rear panel area...

Roasted turkey, BBQ’d/smoked or fried turkey 2024

Happy Thanksgiving! Let the debate begin ?

    Size comparison

So I took a shot at some overlay comparisons. All vehicles shown are 98% accurate. I did a full overlay of a bunch and they are labeled but a bit tough to compare all at once. Also dropped a traveler vs Bronco 4-door and a traveler vs Yukon. If I have time over next week I can break down some...

    Exterior light enhancement

So walked out of my office today and this was parked across the alley. The entire car was covered and while photo doesn’t do it justice all the lights were colored. I can see this as a winning upgrade for the scout. Kudos to someone for the effort-must look amazing in the dark ? Like Clark W...

    Sun screens and visors

There was a thread on some of this awhile ago but wanted to throw it under suggestions for upvoting: Having the sun screens on rear passenger windows. Not a make or break but have had them and used them. Someone else mentioned good for camping as a screen window-never thought of that but liked...

    Where are EV chargers needed

So I’ve pondered this for a bit and with SO MANY discussions around charging availability I figured maybe it’s time to start a thread. As SM is under the VWAG umbrella and VWAG is/has expanded the charging infrastructure in the U.S.-Maybe it’s time to tell VWAG and SM where charging is needed...

    Rear seat movement

I would like to see some decent front /back movement for rear seats to improve leg room as well as a partial tip back on the rear to ‘lay’ back on road trips. Like a 20 and 30 degree angle. With bigger rear area offering some flexibility to rear seat passengers would be great
