  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Scout should publish info about EREV driving modes

I just saw an article that talks about the drive modes of the Ramcharger (Electric+, E-Save and Eco) with a brief description of how two of the three work. While I realize that the Scout Harvester hasn't been finalized, I think it would be helpful to have them provide similar info for the three...

Molle Panels or Storage Tie Point in the Sides/Top of the Frunk

One of things mentioned in the reservation page is that you can change your order when they open up orders to reservation holders. So if you put a reservation on a Terra and decide (before ordering) you want the Traveler instead, you can use the Terra reservation to order a Traveler. So if you...

    Audio System Brand Poll 2.0

I am not an audio person, so I would prefer a mid-range system with just "good" sound. I have never upgraded the sound system in any of my vehicles (not even the optional stuff offered by the manufacturer) and likely never will. I guess that puts me in the 95% that J Alynn talks about. But I...

Molle Panels or Storage Tie Point in the Sides/Top of the Frunk

I would suggest the Scout design just include attachment points in the back, floor and top of the frunk. Then encourage third-party/aftermarket accessory makers to provide mounts. That will result in much wider array of mounting options so buyers can get the "system" they prefer. As for the...

What are you driving until release?

My current stable of vehicles: 2017 Toyota RAV4 hybrid 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 5 2024 Honda NC750 The RAV4 will likely be gifted to my daughter later this year. The Ioniq 5 is my main driver until I get the Terra; I will decide the Ioniq 5's fate after owning the Terra for a while. The NC750 will...

Are factory deliveries for reservation holders being considered?

I would absolutely head to South Carolina to pick up my Terra from the factory, if it really is an option. The trip for me would be 930 miles one-way, according to Google Maps. So I would likely fly in and drive home. According to Google, the closest commercial airport to Blythewood, SC is...

    Scout Supply Merchandise Live

If you are taking suggestions for items to add to the Scout store, might I suggest a gear bag (aka duffel bag) with a large logo on it? Something simple (not a lot of pockets) made of canvas (not plastic, please!).

Poll- What have you Reserved... Let's get a small idea of the take rates.

I reserved a Terra Harvester. I have a BEV so will using the Terra mainly as a hauler/towing vehicle (replacing my current ICE hauler/towing vehicle). An EREV pickup with >100 miles of pure electric range will be perfect for my needs. It will be used mainly for short trips to the dump and...

Range extender - please adjust spec to 250 miles of EV Range

I am of the same mind as CarTechGeek. I don't want to pay more for or carry around more battery than needed. And the vast majority of people will not need more than 50 miles of pure EV range without recharging. I understand that there will be people that want more than 100 miles of pure EV...

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

The one option I want in the extended range versions is detailed control over the behavior of the battery and ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) combination. I watched one of the CES YouTube videos of the Scout, and while reviewing the interface they mentioned the driver can set the behavior...
