  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

I love your charts. Now add in the major companies that haven't yet *cough*Dodge*couch*, *cough*Jeep*cough*.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

Two quotes I love: “Talking design now,” Keogh says, “It has some iconic, fundamentally well-recognized proportions. It’s crystal-clear and you can draw that out yourself in terms of the A-pillar, in terms of the stance of the vehicle, how it rocks back in terms of the window treatment, in...

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

"And he’s less shy about exactly how not to restore a Scout, lessons learned when he sent his own truck to a shop in Iowa, spent thousands on a restoration, and then received a semi-complete heap of cobbled-together parts that simply wouldn’t run right. " Is he talking about Super Scout...

    Avoiding the nonsense

Bro, there's no fix because it's a design flaw. That's the blunt truth of it, and unfortunately, it's a minor detail that no one thought of and honestly, I'm sitting here like, "****, in all the moving pieces of bringing a vehicle to market, I get that that would get missed." Shit, I'll even...

Incase you wanted to see a scout in a VW showroom!

I agree. Smack dab in the middle.

Scout EV - Door Inspiration (Compilation)

I LOVE to have the doors off on the Jeep. Love it. But then again, with the Traveler I hope to get, I'm the type that would rock top off, doors off from May to November. I'd wear boots/jeans/jackets/beanie then flip flops/t-shirts/ballcaps then back to boots/jeans/jackets/beanie. For the true...

Should Scout adopt the NACS (Tesla) charging system

The plug should be at the front. Period. On our 4xe we have it by the A pillar on the driver's side, and even then it can be a pain in the dick.

This issue is that I have a J1772 at home already. IF it'd invested in a Level 2, wired in unit, suddenly with NACS it's a huge asspain. Which is a moot point based on that intel...

Scout EV - Door Inspiration (Compilation)

Of course it is. But you can understand some of the frustration, and I'm not even an admin looking for feedback, in a new person coming on and blowing up the forum with multiple threads of things that have been/still are being discussed daily. Like for the SSII there's much door discussion...

Much of your ideas are/have already been discussed. If you search for them you can contribute your input and ideas with everyone else, cheers.

Sorry, but what is all this? Your post doesn't make a ton of sense to me.

LED Lighting for the New Scout EV Vehicle

They must have heated lens'. Must. We were coming home and got caught in a blizzard. Visibility zero... until someone finally passed our 15 mph ass. "Whoa! I can see!" I pulled over and the stock LED headlights of our 2021 4xe weren't melting the snow and were completely blocked. We cruised...

    Cabin heat soak prevention

I can tell you in the summers of southern Idaho, a fan running will only make the oven a convection oven. :)

Scout EV - OS Feature - Driver Incapacitated/Medical Emergency Protocol

I understand your want for this, but I wouldn't want all this extra bloat.
