  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Vintage Scout Commercials/Ads

I do too, but I want them to wait a little longer so they have actual options and more colors. As good looking as they are, I want to see something other than the two concepts.

    Intuitive D/B Mode Switching - A Must-Have for Scout!

Great question! I don’t think it has been asked yet. I have no idea.

    Intuitive D/B Mode Switching - A Must-Have for Scout!

BMW iX does it well too. Just double click the drive selector on the console. I live on flat ground and use it all the time to aid in one pedal driving…my preferred mode.

    Hey Lady Scouts!!

Can’t see the HUD with polarized glasses nor the numbers on a pump or many fast chargers for that matter.

    Questions about the Harvester

Great point and I hope that is the case. A simultaneous, or close release date would be the best possible outcome.

    Questions about the Harvester

I will politely counter that the BEV was in development long before the Harvester, the BEV is simpler, and they want to get something on the market in 2027-28. I think the BEV will be first.

    Scout Color Poll #1

While my dealership does not sell new automobiles, a very high percentage of our customers are repeat and/or word of mouth. There is a correct way to do it.

    E Axle Brand Poll

I think and hope it is Dana for branding and historical ties. But, ZF makes top notch components.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

As a Mopar and Jeep fan, I have to agree. I find it really sad.

It looks like an Avalanche. Sorry to any Avalanche owners.

    Dynamic Power Management

No, I didn't take it that way. I was really correcting myself and not trying to perpetuate the wrong terms to people that are just starting to learn about EVs and charging. It was very confusing for me back in 2019 with my first EV.

    Dynamic Power Management

Sorry I keep saying charger. I know the charger is actually in the vehicle. So, let me address what a EVSE is for those that do not know. It stands for Electric Vehicle Service Equipment. That is whatever equipment you plug or wire into your house (or electrical source). It is the device...

    Dynamic Power Management

I would like to have one of the new 19.2kw level 2 chargers, but they really are not necessary. I have a 50A fuse allowing for 40A to the charger. I just use Flexible Fast Charger and the NEMA 14-50 adapter on a 240V outlet to charge at 40A up to 9.6kW. It is plenty fast for home use.

Battery is way easier and was in development a long time before the Harvester was announced. Hope that helps.

    Terra tailgate questions

The concept was shown with a regular tailgate. But, it’s just a concept. I have not seen or heard anything else about optional or different tailgates.

What's it like to take a road trip in a truck like the Terra (F-150 Lightning)?

Charging time can slow with extreme cold or heat. Someone can correct me if I’m wrong, but extreme cold affects the battery and extreme heat affects the charger/cable as it relates to charge speed.

I’m not a Ford guy, but this is cool. There is definitely a market for the coastal style packages. Jeep has the Islander, Beach, High Tide etc. In fact I recreated the YJ Islander on my TJ. https://apple.news/AAVeTtgwFTpu6N7BEO6NH8Q
