  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

The I-Pace has a separate switch for front vs rear fogs. Rear only brightens a small LED on each tail light not the entire running lights of the rear. If a person has ever squinted to follow the person ahead by the tail lights in dense fog these would be very helpful to maintain a safer distance.

The One-Ton Problem with Scout’s Harvester Range Extender

While the range extender pushes the range to 500 miles... I assume that is with a full battery. I am curious what the range would be after depleting the battery and filling the tank.... what is the range of the second leg of the trip? How fast does it tow up a mountain with a depleted battery...

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

Great feature. My Jaguar has it and while never have used it seems like a great feature. Have been a few times in other vehicles where this would have been utilized.

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

Yes I will be coming out of an I-Pace and the start batteries (2) die at least every three years. Very lame but keeps the Jaguar reputation alive.

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

My 2001 F150 has this feature and it is great when needed. Old tech is still worth while.

Your state’s 24 hours in a day in the life of a Scout adventure

I am headed to Pismo Beach or Death Valley National Park. Then to Dead Horse AK. By 2028 I will be retired and looking for some adventure. The wilderness fascinates me.

    Disable Turn Signal Sound

Noiseless for 60/180 seconds would be great.

Should There Be an EV "Tax Penalty"?

Fuel tax needs to be remarked as a pollution tax.

    Tow range

Yes I would count on 50% of rated range when towing a typical trailer. Better with a low pop up style trailer. This is not a defect. My F150 gas burner gets half the range towing my travel trailer.

Do You Want Your Scout To Have A Hands-Free Driving System?

No I would specifically avoid a self driving option. The most I would want is adaptive cruise control. Even that is not needed. Lane control and the rest, no thanks. Don't spend start up capital on this mess.
