  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Scout Concepts going to IH Scout & Truck Nationals June 13-15, Springfield, Ohio

Who else is attending this event? It’d be fun to grab dinner together Saturday?

Any hope for a forum member special showing? I’m flying in and would want to not book plane ticket in time period that would make me miss.

Do You Want Your Scout To Have A Hands-Free Driving System?

Yes. I love and adore Autosteer. And adaptive cruise control. So much more relaxing on a long trip.

Trying to understand size, especially interior.

They’ll be in Denver last weekend in May.

    Dog Friendly Features

I’m a lucky duck who gets to volunteer at my local zoo each Saturday doing animal care. When we got them as tiny puppies I was able to be on the socializing team bottle feeding them and rubbing paws and ears (training for future vet care type stuff). They were only maybe five months old at the...

What a cutie pie. I love all the pet photos! The puppies were only about 65 lbs in this photo, lol.

Some suggestions that I believe would make Scout the best Electric Offroad option

A hard core off roader is going to modify anyway. Couldn’t see it worth a manufacturer’s effort to try to factory build something that’s going to be successful on Pritchett Canyon. My wrangler, despite them being fairly capable out of the box, got two Dana 60 axles, rear with removable shafts...

    Combustion Engine

The original company went belly up…that might not be the ideal business model, lol, especially 40 years later. Lots of threads on this, you’ll hear a lot of opinions if you search the threads. But, high level, EVs continue to grow market share…hybrids are starting to outpace pure EVs. 21% of...

It’s fun seeing all the canine photos!

Hoping for a simple option - will pay extra!

Luckily I can make all that happen for you for the low, low price of $3299. I’ll adjust your settings and create a frame for your screen (you even pick the color), lol.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

We are on the same page. He’s always been a crap CEO and ignores the KISS principle everytime. He just doesn’t live in the same world most of the rest of us do. And his egotistical vindictiveness reared its ugly head about that time with the submarine rescue fiasco. Watching and listening to...

Hoping to meet some of the screen names/ fellow dreamers during the event.

All EV/BEV needs its own name!

The inner adolescent is giggling at Wrangler Willy, lol. I like the KISS principle.

What do you all do? Curious about Scout buyers occupations, or former occupations.

I started life as a marine engineer. Pretty much no one looks at me and can picture me changing a cylinder head on a 50,000 hp diesel engine, lol. I’m liking my SQL and PowerQuery, lol. Weirdly, both careers have similarities though. You’re problem solving. Work methodically, logically, pay...

    Scout Deal Breakers

I thought I’d need a sunshade when I was still in Texas with an all glass roof. If it comes with a good tint, like mine had, sunshade not needed. I didn’t use it even once.

    Scout Deal Breakers

Aftermarket parts usually do void warranties. Why would an OEM carry the water for another manufacturer’s product? A lot of Jeeps get lifts without the owner investing in drive shaft and steering upgrades…more or less destroying OEM components either from angles or not beefy enough for the...

    Slate Truck Methodology

Agree 100%. I guess I look at Tesla and Rivian for some perspective. Tesla started out making $120K S and X and couldn’t sell enough to make a profit. Billions and billions in the red. Once the 3 came out, $50-$60K at the time, 300m range, profitability was nearly instantaneous because the...

    Slate Truck Methodology

Not everyone is mechanically inclined. I was a marine engineer so, yeah, I could install airbags myself. Do I want to? Not really. Am I glad safety equipment is mandatory? Yes I am. Overall it contributes to lower insurance costs to not pay out for a bunch of deaths, as well as it’s awfully...

Technically I’m a cost analyst for a large manufacturing company but more than half my time is spent as a business analyst wrangling data into submission and automating repetitive tasks.
