  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Do You Want Your Scout To Have A Hands-Free Driving System?

I've factory ordered 3 cars and got them pretty much exactly as I ordered them, right down to the tires I wanted in the case of a 2019 Ranger Lariat. The Lartiat package had a couple things I didn't care about, but for the most parteverything I wanted

Humm.... "Towing capacity: 1000 lbs Payload capacity: 1433 lbs" Not a serious 'truck' Again, I see this as a first car for the young set they can customise, and a fleet vehicle. My second car while in college was a Toyota Hilux with the turn signals mounted on the hood. Perfect for what I...

Wasn't all that interested before, but 2x drive? Nope. Also, You start having non- electrical, non- tech people mess around with batteries of this kind of power, you're going to get people killed. I can see the huge legal settlements crippling the company if self service is true. Watching a...

Not a fan of the look. Not intresetd in an EV truck in any case. WOW.... CRANK windows! Sounds like a true Lego vehicle which is kinda cooll. I can see the apeal to the younger set, of which I am no longer a part of... The second row seat version reminds me so much of my old Bronco II.

Not interested in a self driving car and don't really want to have an incident with one either.

Do You Want Your Scout To Have A Hands-Free Driving System?

I would not want to pay for anything I don't really want, including self drive.

Any Update on NADA and Our fight for DTC?

The Tribal Nations in New Mexico have worked a way around the direct sales ban here for Tesla sales as they aren't controlled by the state. I wonder if Scout will look at a similar sales process here.

Hoping for a simple option - will pay extra!

I know this. The KIA implements it well in the way it operates in conjunction with the 360 degree view.

Not necessarily. They both do what I would like. The 2026 RAV4 PHEV is rumored to be able to get more than 60 miles in EV. The Scout, hopefully at least double that. The Scout will have greater towing ability but at present I only need to tow 2,500 lbs. Overall, I like the Scout much more but...
