  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

I think back at the Bronco First edition and the rather high price for it. Hope Scout is more reasonable.

Back to Baja: The NORRA Mexican 1000 Live Update Log

Agreed. I think I watched 30% of it and tracked them on the map. Only got two glimpses of them, I think while watching #400's live feed

I refused to pay $24 a mo. and canceled. After a short time I got offers to lower the cost and now I'm down to $6 a mo, which I am willing to pay

And I think thorium reactors can actually use used fuel from spent uranianium. It's too bad Clinton helped stop the reprocessing of spent uramium. Additonal fuel could be processed from this and reduce that waste mass. Now it sits in pools and we lost all the access to many isotopes used for...

I'd love it if I can get what I'd like for $65k but willing to still consider $70k.

DC Input for Portable Solar Panels

Soon to be on the market 1-3 years , are conformal PV films by a US company. If they are durable enough, they will make great roof coverings

The issue with salt reactors is that you can't shut them down. The salt 'freezes' in the heat exchange/cooling system and entirely has to be replaced. The good thing is they don't need much maintenance, so shutting one down shouldn't need to be down in it's designed lifetime.

CHY-NA claims a lot of things that are total BS. They are building 10+ new coal fired plants every year and they don't bother with polution controls. Just pull up the world wide air polution maps. Yes, they are building nuke plants, but they are the dirtiest in the world, one plant releasing...

Don't worry... The California legislature is pushing for a $0.09 a mile 'road tax', supposedly to maintaine the roads like the $1.36 a gallon gas taxes are suposed to be doing... You see how well that is working out.

    3rd Row Option!

As long as it's an option. Idon't need a third row seat, nor do I want to haul around one that I will never use. This has turned me off of many SUVs

This is why the idled/undamaged Three Mile Island reactor will be brougt back on line. Also why Gates is funding some smaller salt cooled reactors in ID or maybe WY(?) and one of the larger nuclear facilities will be adding an addtional reactor, TN, Browns Ferry(?) and maybe Palos Verde in AZ...

DC Input for Portable Solar Panels

I can barely lift my 3,000 wh PS. My Teardrop has a 100AH LiFePo battery with 220 watts PV mounted. I carry a 100Wh PS and an additional 200Wh of folding PVs for longer trips while boondocking. This supplies all my camping needs but I have no illusions of using this to attempy to charge my PHEV...
