  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Scout Field Service Manuals - Technical Manuals Would Be Fantastic For Owners

I would like both. Accessible from the cars infotainment screen and an actual book from the manufacturer. I would like to be able to sit on my couch and read it. At minimum, a PDF so I can print it. Also it would be nice to have a “quick start guide” so to speak for those of us coming from...

    CYURE GOES TO NATIONALS!!! Yay!!!

Happy Monday! Here is another picture of the front seat in the Traveler. Specifically I was looking at the underneath of the center console. I would most likely put my purse there, but wouldn’t want it to move when turning. It would be nice if there was a hook or something to keep...

    Charging stations at trailheads

Rivian is building charging stations at national parks. They have one at Yosemite if I am remembering correctly.

    Travelall 3 Row

True. We shall see. All I know is I don’t need a 3 row and I’m not waiting. I’m really hoping I get a 2028 model year.

    Travelall 3 Row

So Rivian first model year is a 2022. The R2 is coming in 2026. So 4 years for a different model. If Scout follows that pattern you are looking at 2032.

Should there eventually be a "Work Truck Package" ?

Like Rivian makes their Amazon van. Sure after they get going sounds like a great idea.

What one thing would you like to see changed from concept to production?

The door handles will be mechanical they have said. So that’s for sure a change from concept to production. Oh yeah I didn’t notice a windshield wiper. Anyone know if that’s been mentioned?

What one thing would you like to see changed from concept to production?

When I went to Nationals in June to see the concepts I spoke with the SM staff there. I apologize but I don’t remember which person told me, I spoke with all of them, but I asked how much could change between the concepts and a production model. I was informed the concepts are 85% of what the...

    Blindspot Mirrors in Sideview Mirrors!

I have never had mirrors like that on a vehicle. Honestly I thought it was a truck thing. Personally I would not be interested in mirrors like that, but if it’s something helpful for people who tow I would see the benefit of having it as an option.

Good morning. There’s still more pictures. These are of the Traveler with all the doors open. Can I just say I really do like those door handles and I hope those don’t change. Hope everyone has a great day!!

    Scout Supply Merchandise Live

I just got back from the Wind Up Watch show in Chicago. It got me thinking. We need a watch. And it would be cool, with all the talk of solar, if it was like a Citizen Eco Drive and the battery charged with the sun.
