  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Insight on acoustic and thermal insulation

It would be great to ensure that the new Scout outperforms and differentiates from competitors regarding acoustic and thermal insulation for this next-generation SUV.

    AI and Scout? Deeper Insight

We all know that the subject of AI is all over the board these days. With all the data that is being collected in motor vehicles, it would be great if Scout Motors takes it beyond Diagnostics and Maintenance but takes advantage of all the data collected to make our driving experience much more...

Would you want a translucent, auto-dimming antiglare visor for drivers and passengers.

It would be wonderful if Scout could look into offering a translucent, auto-dimming antiglare visor for both drivers and passengers. Gentex is an innovator in this area! Just imagine how beneficial this could be for everyone on the road. I'd love to hear your thoughts and opinions!

    Keep it Simple - Please

These days, so many manufacturers are overloading their vehicles with all kinds of gadgetry and some features no one ever touches. One of the things I like about my 1991 FJ80 Land Cruiser is its simplicity. Yes, it doesn't have all the creature comforts of a modern SUV and it doesn't even have...

Curious if anyone is aware that accessory builders for the new Scout are ramping any efforts to support the future vehicle?

Don't let California VW Dealers Bully Scout Motors

There's a lot of press about California VW dealers trying to eliminate Scout's direct-to-consumer model. As consumers, we should not allow VW and California dealers to bully Scout. As I understand, they are (Scout) an independent business that wants to deal directly with consumers, which is...

Why Scout Motors Must Assure Customers of High Quality and Well-Built SUV

To make this point a bit shorter. As a consumer of various SUVs in my life, I find that producers of next-generation SUVs should really focus hard core on the quality and longevity of the vehicle both on the outside, inside and motor/trans/steering/etc. operation. Quality is a key differentiator...

    Removable Rear Seats

Quick remove would eliminate an elevated space for when it is needed. Fold down flat would cause a bit of a raise in the back area as I understand. Thanks though for your feedback.

    Removable Rear Seats

I'm curious if future Scout owners would find it helpful to have an easy way to remove the rear seats! Thanks.

    Over-the-air-updates?

One important question we have is whether Scout Motors will be able to provide over-the-air updates.

    Hybrid Battery Location and Protection

Ensuring the hybrid battery location is highly protected from intrusion would be great. The last thing a Scout owner would want is something flying from underneath the vehicle (whether on-road or off-road) and penetrating the battery.

Scout Field Service Manuals - Technical Manuals Would Be Fantastic For Owners

Hoping that Scout Motors will provide excellent field service and technical manuals for the new vehicles. Agree?
