Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

    What’s the configuration the 350 mile estimate based on? Are the range estimates consistent for type of roof and wheel packages? Will the cabana roof have reduced range? 35 vs 33 in tires?

    Those are great statistics. Given I live and have grown up in LA this is complete BS. Also I don’t think Scout has indicated the 350 miles of range is highway mileage.

    What I said was people can easily have commutes of 70-100 miles per day which is 35-50 miles one way. 50 miles is useless given the aero on Scout will result in much higher consumption at freeway speed and cold weather has another negative impact. Not sure how many people here have actually...

    You aren’t getting solid state in anything but the highest end vehicles thru the end of the decade. It will be reserved for the AMG/Porsches which will be three times more than the price of the scout.

    I’m not sure where 50 miles of range is normal. In Southern California many people’s commutes start at 30-50 miles each way and if you throw any curveballs into that it’s a problem.     Doubtful, the scout isn’t a phev with a small battery which is auxiliary to ICE, it’s the other way around which means maintaining battery health for longevity will be critical - ie 80% charge

    I think part of the problem is that by 2027 we will have EVs that get 450-500 miles of range so the specs of the product aren’t skating ahead of the puck to where the market is going.     The range extender should get at least 50% of its 500 mile range in pure EV mode otherwise it would be pretty worthless with only 150 miles that you can only get in ideal conditions. In the winter this likely means sub 100 miles pure EV range - not acceptable

    150 miles would be under ideal conditions. In the winter it would be less than 100. Add in hills and you are worse than that. They should spec for at least 250 miles of EV range w the extender providing the other half.

    Paddle Shifters For Adjusting Regen

    Currently have an EQS and have zero love for one pedal driving. The EQS has paddle shifters to adjust the level of brake regen manually and on the fly - effectively it serves as a synthetic down shift and provides a much more interactive driving experience.
