  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

That polished skid plate looks great…makes me curious what these would look like with chrome bumpers and mirror trim 👀👀👀 EDIT: @THil08 is right, polished stainless not chrome

    Traveler without rear tire carrier

I’m still hoping for enough space inside to carry an internal spare, like the old Broncos but further back behind the second row.

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

I use Waze for long road trips, but have only ever used OnX Offroad (or forest service/logging roads). How do you like OnX for everyday navigation? (Add OnX compatibility to my desire for Spotify and Google maps/waze integration on the screen.)

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

Those lazy fighter pilots with their HUDs, taking attention off their flying. Seriously, I get where you’re coming from with motion sickness, but with todays drivers and distractions I fully support anything that keeps idiot eyes pointed at the road instead of in the cab.

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

I love HUDs but I hate that they usually come with a bunch of lux package junk. It’s not necessary to me, but if it integrates with Google maps for directions I’d be thrilled. I’d be happy with a “Highway Warrior” package of ACC, lane centering, and a HUD for a couple grand. Or, you know, do...

Silver silver, just like the stripes. I think it would look fantastic on this body.

Scout Concepts going to IH Scout & Truck Nationals June 13-15, Springfield, Ohio

Dayton OH has the National Museum of the Air Force, and a lot of really incredible stuff if you’re into planes. Also @Jamie@ScoutMotors any chance of being able to sit in the concepts, or are they still too irreplaceable?

    Scout Color Poll #1

I hate to say it but I really want to see a render in basic, boring silver. I’ve had 3 silver vehicles and swore I’d never have another, but I think Traveler would look really good in it.

    Damn I hope I can fit a 35” spare internally. That’s clean!

    Accessories Poll For Scouts

Not to necro my own comment, but a pop top camper that integrated with the factory roofline and cabana top would be damn cool. EVs feel like a poor choice for roof racks and RTTs for drag reasons, the option for an aerodynamically friendly pop top seems pretty unique. Hop out, pop the top up...

My understanding is it’s related to how much pressure is on the steering axle - this is a function of tongue weight, vehicle length (maybe specifically how far the steering axle is from the hitch itself), and vehicle weight distribution. Putting an engine up front under the hood is one of the...

Re: towing capacity - someone pointed out it’s probably about tongue weight rather than actual pulling or stopping ability. Putting 200lb engine (with another 100-200lbs of genset, cooling, and armor) behind the rear axle would take up that same amount of tongue weight. Going from 7k tow...

One more piece of feedback: y’all absolutely crushed it on the Traveler design/styling. The rolling shots managed to make it look even better than the staged glamor shots, and that says a lot. Nice office too!

RIP your notifications whenever new info drops lol. I really do hope Scout can get the tow rating on Traveler Harvester up to 7k. That’s enough to tow a small camper or car hauler with a bit of margin for other cargo.
