  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Scout Traveler SUV Green Off-Road Concept

I hadn’t heard anything about raptors but they’ve had live valves since mid gen 2 I think? Bronco Sasquatch shocks getting recalled for the reservoirs rusting off lmao.

Scout Traveler SUV Green Off-Road Concept

This is a good explainer https://www.shocksurplus.com/blogs/shocks-101/adjustable-shock-absorbers-in-action I’m not aware of any air shocks for damping adjustment in the offroad world, although adjustable shocks, even from the factory, are becoming more common. The various Ford Raptors have...

I wasn’t sure that’s what it was…but I was wondering if those were shock reservoirs!

How would you build your Scout?

Yup, I run 35x10.5 Kendas and love them. I can’t help but think about how 37x11.5s would look on Traveler…

    SCOUT TRAVELER FAQ

I genuinely hope there is a way to disable fake engine noises and pedestrian alert sounds. I do not want to be rolling through the woods or desert and listening to that “an EV is coming” annoying white noise sound. I dislike it enough on city streets but not arguing with the safety factor.

One feature that made you pull the the trigger on a reservation….

Not OP, but my Bronco gets about 16mpg. I don’t drive enough (wfh) to require good fuel economy, but I’d love to just plug in at home for my usual driving, but take the same vehicle to the mountains and not worry about finding a charger at the trailhead. Plus, 1000 ft-lbs of electric torque...

People who don’t know how to parallel park without grazing my steel bumpers have a bad time 🥰

Okay I’m not a fan of tint generally but that would look slick.

What kind of craziness is this? We’re addicts, give us another fix! 🤣

World’s Best Wife: “Dude why have you never shown me the back before?! Holy shit that is sexy.” So, uh, there’s another reaction for you.

Scout Traveler SUV Green Off-Road Concept

More seriously, I think I have two pieces of actual feedback: - I personally don’t care about the push bar up front - it looks fine but doesn’t add anything except wind resistance and weight. - the sliders acting as step sliders would be great. I see boxed in rear control arm mounts...

Well hell, can I just change my reservation to whatever trim and options this is?

What feature(s) do you hope that Scout does NOT include?

I don’t see a remote start (though I guess that’s really only for HVAC, not engine warmup) so I hope that’s included on the fob. Having to have an app to remote start (and pay a subscription) is not the experience I want to have. Paging Scout - it would be nice to be able to put a carabiner...

    interior design

I 100% might prefer this to the usual digital version. Especially the inclinometer.

There is this massive thread of wishing, hoping, discussion, speculation, and a few unofficial renders, however! https://community.scoutmotors.com/threads/scout-color-poll-1.82/

    Color Options

Launch is still a couple years away - there isn’t yet a finalized color list (publicly, at least).

Tariffs are coming and EV Tax Credit is Going Away

Not to mention the 25% chicken tax effectively subsidizing the vastly profitable light truck (including many SUVs) segment.

Scout-specific and general EV thoughts from my weekend with a Hummer, as an ICE enthusiast

Good point - as it happens I had the same concern (old meniscus tear) and had zero problems. Abusing Super Cruise didn’t help test that knee pain on the highway though.

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

Agreed. Both my Bronco now and my Touareg before it have/had major headlight icing issues. Rainx helps but last time I drove through Wyoming in February I still had to get out and clear the headlights every 50 miles in the dark.

If all else fails, you might try Turo.
