  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

My dad just sent me a copy of an article in the IH Red Power Magazine about the new Scouts. It starts with a review of the originals and has a long portion from one of the designers for IH and Navistar (Dick Hatch) going over what he likes and likes less about the new designs. It was really...

What kind of tech do you expect enabled in the car or interface?

just seems to me like there is a difference between "hot" and "melts my privates together". At that temperature, I would think paying her medical bills wouldn't be too much to ask.

What kind of tech do you expect enabled in the car or interface?

I would love to be able to get a weather report/plan for long trips. The map knows about how quickly I will get places and the weather knows how fast rain or whatever will get places. Does anyone have an app or anything that can combine those and tell me I might want to wait an hour or so to...

What kind of tech do you expect enabled in the car or interface?

just for info, the lady who sued about the coffee was burned so severely that her privates melted together where the coffee spilled. McDonalds had been warned that they were keeping the coffee at extremely unsafe temperatures but refused to change because keeping it that hot made it last longer...

    Harvester- No Gas Cap

I love the Ford Easy-Fuel setup on my car. I think if I ever had to go back to one with a cap now I'd be in trouble. After 14+ years of not having to worry about putting a cap on after filling, I'd never remember.

    Kia Electric Tasman Pickup

Fortunately this isn’t people driving them on the sand - it’s either absolutely ancient people or underage kids driving them around the smaller side roads. The old people can’t see you and the kids can’t steer and forget about stop signs. Oh and there are also the teen boys who are trying to put...

    Kia Electric Tasman Pickup

I'll be honest - I kinda love it. It looks like it should be in one of the Kirby video games or something to me. So adorable. But not for everyday I don't think. It would make a great vehicle to replace all the darn golf carts at the beach.

Future Model: Scout Sport- Smaller, and more efficient, but still capable.

just as an aside - I think you're mixing up the Traveler with the Harvester. Traveler is the vehicle; Harvester is the gas-powered add-on to extend the range

What will be your Scout's Vanity Plate?

Mine will be what it always is - DEEP 13. I am a huge Mystery Science Theater 3000 fan and as a scientist, I gotta rep for the Mads.

    Size comparison

I hate to ask but could you do a Ford Flex version? I would love to see how they compare never mind - I just saw the part about not adding more vehicles! Sorry!

some sort of light signal to accompany the horn?

When I was driving in to work this morning and stopped at an intersection, someone started blowing their horn. I and the other drivers close to me looked around but couldn't figure out who was doing it or why. The way the cars are soundproofed now makes it really hard to hear directionally and...

Roasted turkey, BBQ’d/smoked or fried turkey 2024

We're having cubed steak (made with pork because my son can't eat beef), mashed potatoes and gravy, macaroni and cheese, and green beans and then chocolate sugar cookies for dessert. (we are also going to have sausage gravy and biscuits for breakfast because you can't have enough gravy!)

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

I can't wear rings in general - makes my fingers feel weird. I'm being reminded of the Road ID options for runners. I have one of the silicone wristbands for my ID but they have options that can go on the watchband you already have, or on a necklace, or on your shoelaces. I don't know what kind...

    Square fenders instead of rounded

I do wish the new ones looked a little more like that. More pronounced and more unique. But I still like what we have

    Lessons Learned on Range Anxiety

I am so looking forward to charging at home. I hate getting gas on the way home because I just want to get home. And getting gas in the morning is right out - I am always running late. Not having to worry about that will be awesome. And there are chargers at work if I need them also! They aren't...

    Exterior light enhancement

my husband hates stuff like that but I love the "tacky" decorations. They are put up out of love and happiness, not because they look good!
