  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

    Stickers! And other decor...

I have a RUN magnet on the back and a Montana State cling-on sticker in the back window. I might put more in the window on the Scout but nothing that sticks on the car itself. My dad used to paint pinstripes (by hand!) on the 18 wheelers he worked on so I know how hard those are. (He used to...

What's it like to take a road trip in a truck like the Terra (F-150 Lightning)?

unfortunately I'm in air testing, not soil so I don't know their regulations. Ask me questions about emissions from factory stacks or landfills and I'll be much more helpful (and boring...) (edit - I am not in mobile sources so I don't do the cars - it's not my fault!)

How do you plan to kit out your interior?

I worked at a specialty gas company for a while - lots of gases that would kill you before you knew they were there and some that caught fire on exposure to air. Everything we wore had to be FR and a lot of the cylinders were kept outside. So now I have entire outfits of FR clothes and coats and...

    Interior accent color

I would love to have a solid gray or black surrounding a plaid that incorporates the color of the Rallye stripes. But I do love the colors in the Traveler already too.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

Didn't he use autopilot on the tests? The first one he did it with the one where the driver has to act and it hit the kid, but then he did it again with the autopilot and it stopped. He said he would use the autopilot on all the rest of the tests.

    Scout Color Poll #1

I still want a bright car - I love vibrant colors. So many cars are muddy or dark colors now. Gotta have the stripes - red with white, blue with white, green with yellow, red with black, yellow with black - something that isn't a typical color scheme now would be wonderful! Of course this is...
