  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Entry level Scout

All we really know is what is stated at the bottom of the Scout Motors website. We just don't know what an "Entry Model" is. Traveler: $50,000 with incentives Terra: $51,500 with incentives Pricing is for U.S. market only. Entry model price reflects targeted starting price with incentives...

That would be a good place for it. Back in the day my father in-law who, always loved his old Suburbans would take his dymo labeler and stick messages on the dash for when the kids came of age to drive, like remember it is an old car, Jiggle the key if it dose't turn over and remember this is 6'...

As it turns out no manufactures do this. Many modern vehicles have parking assist systems with sensors, like ultrasonic or radar, to detect obstacles around the car, such as walls or other vehicles, especially during parallel parking. However, these are not designed to measure the height of a...

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

The only problem is all the cool kids that drive around with their fogs on blinding the vehicle behind them. As I remember when you turned them on it was all or nothing, no separate switch for rear.

Loved that truck when I saw it back in 2021. Ford was also going to offer crate electric motors for do-it-yourselfers.

Apple CarPlay ULTRA for Scout: A Game Changer for Infotainment?

Haha, funny you should bring up the issue with your wife’s old iPhone. I had a similar experience with the 2024 Lincoln. A few months after getting the Lincoln, my wife got a new iPhone. We deleted her old iPhone and added her new one. But no matter what we did, it kept finding her old iPhone...

Apple CarPlay ULTRA for Scout: A Game Changer for Infotainment?

After downloading the latest and greatest to my iPhone I haven't had any wireless CarPlay failures in my 2024 Lincoln, Fingers crossed. Prior to this update the most common failure was no audio, still got the route and directions on the center stack and cluster. If you wanted audio back I would...

    Scout Color Poll #1

I really need to see the Ghost Rally stripes on a Traveler in Blue/Grey (nantucket-blue-metallic). I hope it looks as good as it does in my head.

Lucky you. When we are driving my wifes Maverick and the dogs are harnessed in their elevated dog seats I have a dog breathing down my neck, our female pup likes to look out the windscreen.

That is generally done with a forward looking camera so it has plenty of time to warn you. I think it is incorporated in what is know as 360 view.

Never been a fan of the white roof. I take it from your post that you will not be building your Scout with a glass or cabana roof.

They actually said "Asked what Blume was offering in the talks, which aim to reduce the 25% autos levy, he said: "The Volkswagen Group wants to invest further in the USA. We have a growth strategy."" Like a true politician. I don't think in the short term that it means building vehicles in the U.S.

If they stick with the current winch idea looks like the front will be a steel bumper. Hard to same if they will offer a steel bumper for the rear, maybe in a package.
