  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Interesting. I've never seen these on a rig. I'll have to start watching.

Now there's an option that actually makes sense in the real world! *grin*

    Scout Color Poll #1

Yes. Or a case of "I'm no paint expert, but I know it when I see it!" *grin* I too like all of these colors. But there are calls for brighter colors as well. Glad I'm not a designer! I think for me I would go with the darker colors on the Traveler. If they came out with a smaller...

Future Model: Scout Sport- Smaller, and more efficient, but still capable.

That sounds amazing to me! I had no idea something like this could be possible. Thanks.

Future Model: Scout Sport- Smaller, and more efficient, but still capable.

That's cool. I didn't know that was a thing. In the old days we had dune buggies with turning brakes and you could apply the brakes to either of the back tires. I'm not suggesting that for the New Scouts, but it was CRAZY fun in a buggy! Also my 1952 Ferguson tractor has the ability to...

You are so right!!! It's funny I typed this early this morning and I knew something wasn't right! I'm going to see if I can edit it. Thank you for pointing it out!

Square it off, fix the head lights, flatten the roof line, install the side window Scout II shape, and you might have something. This vehicle looks like every other vehicle on the road to me.

Future Model: Scout Sport- Smaller, and more efficient, but still capable.

Adding a smaller version vehicle to the lineup obviously makes sense and Scout Motors has hinted at it in the release information. (correct me if I'm wrong) Those of us on here seem to be either old Scout enthusiasts or off-road, exploration enthusiasts driving other brands but interested in...

Scout to have dashcams. But better than….

Latrant - agreed. Fear is an emotionally charged word. It's really more and issue of awareness.

    Ideas for Scout Engineers

The battery will be smaller with the Harvester option. What he was saying is that both vehicles are EV. The batteries are all that power the wheels. With the Traveler option, you have a generator that will charge the batteries while you drive. But the Traveler engine will not have any...

Two-Tone Color Options, Classic Colors, and Graphics

So this Scout is a great example of the Ghost Rallye Stripe that I think would be a cool option. Not a in-your-face stripe like white but one that subtle and gives a nod to the original Scout II. Seems classy to me.

    GPS suggestions

YES! My wife's 2019 Subaru Forester does not do this. Frustrating! You know where I'm going and you know my path. I want to know where the next Taco Bell is on my route. Not behind me. Not 26 miles to my right or left.

    Instrument Cluster

Not sure about oil pressure gauge on an electric vehicle. *grin* But you made me think about what gauges I might want to see with regards to the Traveler engine. Hmmmmm......

    Instrument Cluster

It would be so cool to have a simple elegant dash for around town and then be able to flip a switch and have the most intense off-road dash. I have a software package that reads OBD-II data and allows me to present 15 gauges on a tablet. I can select the gauges I want, the size, the location...

Does the heads up display adjust for the tilt of the vehicle and maybe even go inverted when you've made the wrong call on a very off-camber trail? (just humor)

    YES PLEASE! *grin*

Isn't is cool?! It's a gold processing mill. It's fun to walk through and follow the process from crushing the ore to extracting the gold.
