  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Spare tire table

OK, so you know how the spare tire swings out in the open position and then the tailgate swings down to create the perfect bench under a canopy? Well, how cool would it be to have a small table that swings up out of the spare tire carrier or slips into it when the carrier is open? Swing out...

Tailgate a bit more old school?

I like the way you think! I'll make a small table that hooks on the back of the spare tire when it's in the open position. Just big enough to hold my Margareta, a couple of snacks and my binoculars. Then I'll sit on the tailgate and enjoy the show of a good 'ol mid-western thunderstorm!

    Ideas for Scout Engineers

Wouldn't a couple of external 100 watt solar panels only give you 1KW to 2KW a day? Isn't that just a couple of miles? Seems like the Harvester option would be so much better. I don't think it would be worth all the hassle to haul the panels. I'm new to all this EV stuff so I could be...

    Scout Color Poll #1

We all have our preferences, but mine is for the stripe to be a ghost stripe. One that is subtle and makes you take a second look to make sure it's really there. I like the nod to the heritage Scout II. I think too bold a stripe conflicts with the modern lines of the new Scout. I think less...

Scout Motors announces in-vehicle satellite connectivity and highlights Scout Community UX interface at CES 2025

So cool to meet Jamie! Seems like such a nice guy and he seems like the kind of guy who just climbed out of a Scout to take in the view from a 12,000 pass! Nicely done! The lady in this video was great too. Actually it really seems like Scout has pulled together a world-class team. The...

Scout Motors announces in-vehicle satellite connectivity and highlights Scout Community UX interface at CES 2025

Scout is listening! Look at the new features on this photo! Ghost style striping, pillar grab bars, and space for a gas can on the back. I think this vehicle is just fantastic!

    Size comparison

J Alynn I think you found a new job! *grin* I was wondering how the new Scouts compare to the 1951 Hudson Hornet! *barrel roll* What you do it pretty cool. All the best....

    Approximate Charge Time

Very interesting. Could it also be that many people were very busy and short on time so they opted for quicker, shorter, charges? If that's the case, then they would spend 25% less time at the charger. However, since they were not taking the time to get a full charge they would have to stop...

    Amateur radio antenna mount

The mount is not the hard part. A route for the coax would be needed. Then where do they route it to? Under the seat for a remote head radio? Probably the best option. Maybe the Frunk? That could be sweet. 73
