  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

    Approximate Charge Time

This question could be a mistake. I know there are a lot of variables. But based on what we know (and our best guesses) about the battery in the new Scouts, what might be a typical amount of time required to charge back up to 80% from 30%? I'm not looking for anything exact and I know that...

So what does everyone think of the first new Scout designs...

My Scout II is a Diesel sporting an impressive 105 horse power. I'm very use to things taking a while. Heck my new Traveler may be in the driveway just in time to help me celebrate the 50th birthday of my Scout II! Perfect Timing!! Wait a minute, that may also be about the time my daughter...

It is so cool that there are so many technical people in these forums that can help newbies like me! Thank you. I'll spread the good information!

Someone sent me this cutaway of the Scout. Very informative but I don't see where the batteries are.

I'm assuming the max speed shown as an indicator at 65 changes depending on the speed for that highway.

Since there is a "N" on the "gear selector" could this hint that the Traveler could be towed on all fours in neutral?

You could be right. This discussion makes me rejoice that I'm not a new product designer. They're working magic in a million different ways to create a new vehicle and we're trying to work out the look of the speedometer! *grin* For sure I hope that Scout Motors implements a good drug and...

    Traveler Engine Sizing

I looked (kind of quickly) for this discussion and couldn't find it (it must be here somewhere). Regarding the generation capacity of the Traveler, it would be best for me if it would be capable of generating enough power for the Scout to go 65-70 miles an hour without assistance from the...

Now that's thinking outside the box! It's funny, but little trick things are what can really make a difference to buyers.

Stunning colors & stripes on Terra / Traveler - previews 😍

These two Scouts are very nice. But what I would do it even more subtle. The best way to describe it is that the paint on the vehicle would be done in glossy clear coat finish (typical paint job) and the ghost decals would be a coat of mat-finish clear coat. I've seen it done as ghost flames...

I love you two! This is what being a Scout family is all about. I would love to meet you both on some beautiful trail somewhere, someday!

Truth be told, I was hoping for the image that jumped into your head. There's a lot of competition for views on Forums and I wanted a "What the heck?????!!" curiosity about the title. But double truth be told, I thought both were spelled the same! A few too many bumps to the noggin I guess!

This is why I thought it would be cool to have the ability to connect up to 6 cameras to the in-cab display. Then put magnetic mount cameras to watch whatever you want Down low for each tire. On the roof for the rack. Underneath for skid plates/Traveler motor. Put them in place when you...

I think if it goes well, then it's bravery. If it goes sideways, then I think then it's stupidity. I only post my "bravery" experiences. No enough time to post the other kind!
