  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Harvester - Request to allow it to charge battery while parked & a 30-40amp/240v outlet

Remote start systems via your remote or a phone app are already very common, so I would think this would be viewed simlarly.

Back to Baja: The NORRA Mexican 1000 Live Update Log

Two vehicles were in the Legends 4x4 class, and the other DNF'd. Since the overall class includes air-cooled Beetles and other odds and ends, there is no comparable consistency in the Legends class.

    Special/First Edition Scouts

Any time a new factory starts production for the first time, they like it when production is simplified as much as possible so they are building simple configurations as they ramp up. That's the reason why there are launch editions. I'm not sure what Scout will do yet, but we've discussed the...

Back to Baja: The NORRA Mexican 1000 Live Update Log

APRIL 30, 2025 STAGE 4: LORETO TO LA PAZ MILES: 336.9 It’s going to be a long day.” Every morning, Sean Barber delivers a sermon of sorts. And today, those are the first words out of his mouth. If desert racing were a religion, Baja would be the Mecca. 336.9 miles. It’s hard to put that into...

Back to Baja: The NORRA Mexican 1000 Live Update Log

APRIL 29, 2025 STAGE 4: SAN IGNACIO TO LORETO MILES: 214 Morning doves and woodpeckers are our alarm clocks. We wake up to cold tents and visible breath. It’s about 7°C—45°F. A chilly start in the desert. Furnace by day, freezer by night. Dry air doesn’t hold heat well. San Ignacio is a true...

Any marketplace for the Scout 800?

Since the forum and community are relatively new, we don't currently have a marketplace section yet. We do plan to offer one in the future.

Entry Model Specs, Premium Model Price?

I can't answer all the specifics yet as some things are still fluid. But I don't think there should be too much doom and gloom or assumptions of worst case.
