  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

    Scout Color Poll #1

Toyota typically does one year colors for the TRD, about 6-8 months later they announce the next color. Atleast that's how the 24-25 model worked out.

    Scout Color Poll #1

Love it. Make that a tr coat and it will flip and flop based on lighting.

    Camper Shell

    This is an impressive set-up!

    Vintage Scout Commercials/Ads

Ran across these on FB Marketplace and few days ago. I often keep an eye out at Antique and thrift stores.

    Scout Color Poll #1

New TRD Pro color for 2026, WaveMaker. Looks fun, glad to see manufacturers adding some love to the pallet. https://www.motortrend.com/news/2026-toyota-tacoma-tundra-4runner-sequoia-trd-pro-exclusive-paint-color/photos

    Scout Color Poll #1

Go for it! I think the polls are still open and even some discussion on updating the polls in the future. Many have shown what they're looking for from other makes and models and suggestions from the early IH days. I was hoping for a Tahitian Red which was very similar of the Traveler during the...

Close enough? Aspen Green Irid, Newlegend4x4.com

    Scout Color Poll #1

Found this on newlegends4x4.com-same color. I like this alot, could envision a modern twist on this as a tri coat with some metal flake.
  9. OleScout

What trim levels would you like to see at launch?

Scott Keough mentions that the Scout is the Levi jeans of electric trucks, but it seems Jeep beat them to the market of a Levi Jeans edition back in 70's. Not going to lie; the seats look pretty rad, so imagine the sun's heat off those buttons...

    Michigan 800

Sounds like a great adventure, good luck in your treasure hunt. If you bought this truck up north I'm sure the salt was brutal in it's early life.
  11. OleScout

How would you build your Scout?

My approach will be pretty similar to what was shown at CES unless SM decides to throw out another trim that pulls my heart strings in another direction. Looking for a daily driver with the capability of light offloading and overlanding. 1. Roof rack 2. Heavy duty bumper with minimal bull bar...

Back to Baja: The NORRA Mexican 1000 Live Update Log

Surf’s up- This is a great comeback story from the year past, and Scout Motors nailed it—not just with the storytelling, but with the stunning photography. Huge kudos to the behind-the-scenes team. The stories told capture the spirit of Baja in every sense: grit, camaraderie, and respect for...

Back to Baja: The NORRA Mexican 1000 Live Update Log

Another solid write-up by the Scout Motors team, they're embracing the experience. We get to live bi-curious through these articles. This whole update reads like Mad Max: Baja Edition—desert chaos, last-minute fixes, and a crew that just won’t quit. Love that the Scout is out there playing...

    Scout Color Poll #1

The color, not the car. Love the earth tone.

Your state’s 24 hours in a day in the life of a Scout adventure

It would start off with a stop at the Big Deli Belly-best donuts I've ever experienced-. Then headed East as far as we can go in Maryland to Assateague National Park, you can drive on the beach and experience the wildlife of wild horses, at times will encounter you. This is our yearly...

Any marketplace for the Scout 800?

Check out binderplanet.com for marketplace sites. This also brings up a good idea of offering a marketplace section when new Scouts arrive.
  19. OleScout

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

Great feedback, Ford just recently incorporated rear AC in the Bronco with customer demand. With the removable hardtop or softtop, they went with AC in the middle console.

Back to Baja: The NORRA Mexican 1000 Live Update Log

Incredible write-up by the SM team, a lot of rich History here in the 1000. The guys seem to be enjoying themselves, This race is a marathon; I've been catching bits and pieces of it throughout the weekend and love seeing the Classic/Legendary class. What a great experience for the 1976 Father...
