  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

winch, stairs/sliders, wheel in the front trunk, mobile sunroof

The all the issues we had in less than 1-/12 years (and it was only a pavement princess) with a few pasture travels I do t know if I could ever do another ford. Loved the Bronco and miss it every day but only way I’d consider is now I could have it as a third vehicle. My dad worked under Ford...

What government and private sectors could you see Scout being successful in commercially? (Police, military, S&R, Delivery, etc)

Having wasted an hour last night catching up on Fridays with Frank I think SM should donate one to Pinal County, Arizona sheriff’s office for Frank to cruise around in. Huge exposure from reality side as well as all his videos they post. And hey-if you haven’t seen Fridays with Frank check it...

Remember-running start to jump in and have your camera person ready to get pics. Want to see size based on a scaleable object and what better way than you getting in there. Find your inner journalist and fight for our cause!!! Then you can provide your height and wing span. Or maybe bring a...

    Scout Color Poll #1

Interesting that Jimmy didn’t photoshop a current version of the Scout. There is a lot of version on this thread as well if you don’t already find them. The sky blue is nice. The other color floats between the butter yellow many of us hope to see and a desert/taupy shade. For me I’d rather see...

How would you build your Scout?

If every 3 to 4 hours for stops why not just get the BEV? Lot of good insight on here from those living with EVs for over 10 years. I was hesitant at first but with 2-1/2 years of info I’ve become completely sold on the full BEV over the harvester.

How would you build your Scout?

They are inherently being built for both and since the body and axles and underbody set up are being built to handle off roading it will be a combo ride set-up. Sounds like there will be off roading oriented set ups that are definitely geared for off roading but there should be a road worthy...

winch, stairs/sliders, wheel in the front trunk, mobile sunroof

Would agree. Had a Bronco briefly and I would say part of the Broncos success (though the quality failed us and we dumped it) was the IFS because compared to the ride quality in a Wrangler -it was night and day. Again, majority of buyers are never doing hard core off roading and the Squatch...

    Accessory Partners

Always agree the experts should do what they do best but all OEM options should be designed (visually) by SM-not the outside vendor. They can always create their own design as an aftermarket option if they choose as well

winch, stairs/sliders, wheel in the front trunk, mobile sunroof

I don’t off-road so not critical points for me to debate but I will note the the ebeam design and engineering was essentially complete at the time of the reveal in October and just wasn’t quite ready to be shown for public consumption. I’d be shocked if they would back pedal after all that work...

    3 Zone HVAC?

Assuming there will be rear heat/cool then oresumably both front passengers which would be 3-zone. Knowing how big the opening in the roof is and knowing there is a frame and structure at the corners/edges I’m still concerned it will be VERY tight to run ducting up at the roof level. It would be...

Scout Traveler SUV Green Off-Road Concept

Saw this concept on Pinterest today and it was labeled Landrover. It’s cool but imagine if Scout would’ve went this direction????

Spare tire carrier - other locations?

The carrier has been announced as an option. Keep in mind though the tail gate dropping may also create a possible concern but I’ve always used a roof mounted mobile carrier so don’t really know enough to know if tailgate folding down will create barriers
