Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Technically it could be lumped in under 'Plug-in Hybrid' (PHEV) because it has a plug whereas a traditional hybrid (like the Prius) cannot be plugged-in but whatever.     Full EV off-road capable. It's the only fully electric off-road capable vehicle (until Jeep finally makes the Recon maybe?). If it was only a plug-in hybrid or EREV I would not have been interested at all, just like I have no interest in the 4xe Wrangler.

    I think Scout has got it right. The default is all electric so no special name needed. If you want to be weird and burn fossils for some reason like a cave man then they have a special "Harvester" version for you. ;) This is the way.

    Heat pumps are the way to go. My EV has a heat pump and it's super efficient and works well in the winter.
