  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

All EV/BEV needs its own name!

The all electric version needs its own cool name like the EREV is called Harvester. Let's hear some ideas Scouts! This one is my vote! -Ampere (I think this is my personal favorite and a throwback to the old Scouts and IH tractors that had Amp gauges)

Switching Harvester to All EV Model?

By the way, the BEV needs to have its own name like the Harvester. BEV is boring at best. Any ideas everyone? This may need to be a new thread.

Switching Harvester to All EV Model?

It is my understanding that you can switch at any time. You are also correct that Scout mentioned that the factory is being designed for maximum flexibility. However, I just suspect that the Harvester development timeline is significantly behind the BEV. How significant is the question.

Switching Harvester to All EV Model?

I am very curious to read these answers. I think it is intriguing and valuable to Scout to know what the motivators are. I have a suspicion that the Harvester will come later and cost more. It was only first mentioned at the reveal which was two years after he first announcement. Also, there...

I just played around with their configurator. I actually like a lot of the options and colors. This could be a hit if it has decent build quality. The SUV looks kinda like a Suzuki Jimny, which I love. Color me intrigued.

Switching Harvester to All EV Model?

Questions for those that have reserved the Harvester. 1. Would you consider switching to the BEV if the wait for the Harvester is longer? 2. Would you consider switching to the BEV if the price is higher for the Harvester?

Let's face it. How many people need or actually use a "serious" truck? Sure, there are many examples of those who do, but most light trucks are lifestyle or image vehicles. Most trucks these days rarely haul anything in the bed. They are commuter vehicles. Sadly, those owners are also known...

I do not love that this is a Bezos mobile, but it is exactly what the market needs. The USA absolutely needs lower priced EVs and absolutely needs smaller vehicles. If you need to tow often, this is not the vehicle. But, compare it to the Ford Maverick. It competes pretty well and the...

AI generated answer...DCFC (Direct Current Fast Charging) rates for EV charging vary widely but generally average between $0.35 and $0.50 per kWh. I checked PlugShare and there is an Electrify America fast charger in my area at $0.56 per kWh on a 350 kWh charger. A CircleK Charge is...
