  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Ugh tell me about it. They make some beautiful rigs. Some years ago they offered me a position as a project manager but the kids were young and the ex wife wasnt interested in moving to California. Still kick myself for turning it down in hindsight.

    Harvester towing

Just another consideration is the upcoming charging network at WalMarts. They said they will offer pull through chargers at some locations so it will be less of a hassle to tow a trailer with more options like that popping up.

    Scout Color Poll #1

I am not sure if its warm enough for that. I am pretty terrible with colors but it reminds me of the color my grandpas F150 had. I worked all summer when i was 15 to buy it from him so that color has a special place in my heart. Kind of creamy and warm. Believe it was the 90010 White

I imagine they are talking about the thousands of man hours and equipment needed to design, engineer, and fabricate it.

With it being the only one, I would be white knuckling just slow rolling at 20mph around a parking lot. Hats off for taking on some dirt. Definitely looks like its in its element.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

The Slate seems a lot less complex so that isnt surprising honestly, but I would still love to see more proof of concept material fleshed out by Scout too.

Do you think we will see a Travelette (Long Bed Heavy Duty)?

Scout used to make a heavy duty long bed pickup called the Travelette. Do you think there is a place for a heavy duty truck in their future lineup alongside the Terra? Maybe some beefier axles like the electric Dana 60 and a high output Harvester Generator would do the trick for those wanting...

Shes gorgeous! Wait.. does "Put it throught its paces" mean its a test mule with a functional drivetrain?!

Trying to understand size, especially interior.

The flat floor (no transmission hump or driveshaft) will definitely help it feel a little roomier too!

Just another fun tidbit, Scout also made a Travelette; a long wheelbase pickup. The Traveall and Travelette also had Heavy Duty options so you could get full float axles underneath them. Maybe we will see a Terra with an 8ft bed someday
