  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

Some bougie cars have heated headlight washer fluid nozzles 💅

    Looks like a Jeep 4-73

I would love to get your impressions on a used LX570 and 200 Series Land Cruiser.

Poll- What have you Reserved... Let's get a small idea of the take rates.

I am sure this could change depending on how many Canadians reserve/purchase Scouts. They talk a lot about using data to shift with trends.

Yes my apologies. Was a bit overindulged. The Traveler not Terra.

Peak manufacturing capacity usually involves 3 shifts. Most manufacturers start with one and ramp up over time. I think Rivian is currently just running two shifts. When R2 launches they will be moving to one single shift for the first half of 2026 and will add a 2nd and 3rd shift if demand...

I know OP isn’t able to do this anymore but I would love to see a Terra compared to the GX550 Overtrail (I think a lot of people will be cross shopping these) as well as the TRD Pro Sequoia.

    Power outlets

I would love it if they could give you the option to delete 2 of the 3 120v outlets under the charger cover and opt for a 240v outlet and one 120v outlet there. As an aside I hope Scout not only gives us 12v/120v in the frunk, but they are also ventilated so heat from a fridge/feeezer can...

I love your optimism. Just not getting my hopes up. A few journalists have said 2028 in when talking to folks from Scout, and they weren’t corrected. Maybe they were just being kind since they will be 2028 model year vehicles and it makes things confusing. I’m also not familiar with car...

    Cargo area dimensions.

It seems to be a lot deeper than I had expected after finding a YouTube walk around clip recently. A cooler or fridge should fit no problem. The website shows mountain bikes with their front tires removed being tossed in there but I’m not sure if that’s with folding the rear seat down or how...

Why do you like to go off-road?

When I was a kid my parents bought a massive 1988 Suburban 2500. 6" lift. 35" tires. It was an enourmous vehicle from a kids perspective. It was silver like this one. We live in Corpus Christi and my parents would take us in it to South Padre Island on the weekends. My mom was our Boy Scout den...

Some of us are a little late to the party but I am glad I found it. Honestly was just poking around on the Scout Motor website and found this palce that way. A different one shows up on Google first and I had registered there without realizing there was an official forum.

Understood and I can respect you a lot for that. Its definitely got a stranglehold on society though. I used it to keep up with acquaintances and organized off roading events for the Toyota club I started. But hit a breaking point... I wont get into it but it has gotten deeply concerning and...

Ha, yeah... People are pretty eager to discuss things they dont have a clue about.... and they are often not interested in learning the truth. Thats why I deleted all my social media last year. Best to avoid them and leave them to their feedback loop of ignorance.

To be fair, we are a very small group of people nerding out about vehicles that wont hit the pavement for another 3 years. There are millions of auto enthusiasts that have never heard of Scout because they were too young to know about the originals and not interested in EVs so the new ones...

We will get to order them in 2027, but Scout isnt delivering until 2028 unless I missed something. That being said once the Builder Page is open I will be playing with it every day until mine arrives. lol

I believe the Offroad Package also has offroad tuned suspension. Edit: They touch on suspension options around the 1 hour 6 minute mark.
