  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Frunk Fridge

I have read some Rivian owners complain about the frunk and coolers/fridges since it gets really hot in there and isnt vented. In addition to 12V/120V outlets in the frunk I hope Scout finds a way to keep the frunk sealed from dust and dirt, but also allows the frunk to vent. If you put a...

Tariffs are coming and EV Tax Credit is Going Away

I am not sure if subsidize is the correct word, but The Chicken Tax certainly bolsters the domestic market and disincentives them from innovating or presenting value to the customers.

Tariffs are coming and EV Tax Credit is Going Away

Our fuel industry and prices are heavily subsidized by the government. Federal EV rebates seemed like a fair trade off in my opinion.

    interior design

My dad had an 1988 Mitsubishi Montero and it had a dash mounted compass and inclinometer in a separate dash cluster. I loved watching it move around as we drove as a kid.

Tariffs are coming and EV Tax Credit is Going Away

Our administration doesn’t seem to be joking either. Let’s move on… Thank you for the better explanation. You did a much better job than I did 👏🏼 This is what leads to the “price stickiness” that the media is trying to spin with softer language. The US EV battery industry does have some...

That’s about as funny as the 51st state jokes

Tariffs are coming and EV Tax Credit is Going Away

That would all be lovely if it was true. But tariffs will cause inflation both direct and indirect for just about every aspect of our lives. Even if a company like Scout or Rivian sourced every single component from the US, other companies that supply parts from overseas for domestic...

These guys drove a Kia EV3 3,000km across Australia and made me feel like a weenie for having range anxiety.

    Spare Parts Availability At Launch

I would love that! But my experience offroading leads me to believe that CVs will definitely be breaking. 1,000ft-lbs of torque is no joke. 35" tires are a LOT of rotational mass. Pair those up with a heavy vehicle and its inevitable if you're really getting adventurous. But breaking CVs is...

    Off Road Performance

Yeah, but bloggers are the ones who get them first, test them, and write articles and post videos about them. Thats how you spread awareness and drive up adoption for newly launched products. The first thing most consumers do these days is watch Youtube reviews on products they are considering...

    Spare Parts Availability At Launch

I have read many stories about people buying newly launched vehicles and getting to accidents and waiting months for repairs. It can take a while for parts availability to catch up but some things could result in shiny new vehicles being completely immobile aside from accidents. Since Scout is...

They are pretty cool, but their top speeds will get you run over on the interstate.. At least here in Texas. lol Always wanted an FJ62. Such an iconic vehicle. Just needs a twin turbo V8 diesel swap from Diesel Toys and it would be my dream car.

NFT scams are the herpes of our economy. This is shady shady shady. You have to buy specific crypto, using a wallet that only one company provides access to, buy an NFT using that crypto (that you never get your money back from), and either pay for an earlier production slot or take a later...

I agree with what youre saying, but I will still be pretty irritated if a bunch of bloggers have them months before I do.

Nah. I just meant I would have liked your thoughts on those two options since you have test driven so many others. They are great vehicles but still too small for my family. Not enough cargo space with all of us loaded up.

    Cargo area dimensions.

You are correct. I wasn’t paying close attention.
