  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Scout Traveler SUV Green Off-Road Concept

A buddy that solid axle swapped his 100 Series Land Cruiser used ORI struts. They use air for adjustment and it’s an all in one solution. No springs. But I do not believe air over suspension will be the route Scout goes. Things like air leveling are handled with very basic components. My...

    Cluster customization

Was rewatching this and it appears there will be a car wash mode, but I want to know what the heck that thing is at 8 o’clock on this mode selection screen. Almost looks like an atom? Rear profile of a submarine?

You can see what they have so far at around 17:32

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

The rear tire carrier needs an integrated bottle opener 😎

👀 Do I spy manually adjustable suspension?

How would you build your Scout?

That is totally fair. When I think of loud tires I am thinking about Super Swampers, Nitto Mud Terrains, Trepadors, Mickey Thompson Baja Claws, etc. You cant turn the radio up enough when you’re road tripping with those 😂 Hopefully they will have adequate sound deadening in there regardless...

How would you build your Scout?

BFGs tend to be pretty quiet. The K03 displayed on the concept rollers are quieter than the K02 they replaced. I will honestly be surprised if they are significantly louder than highway tires.

How would you build your Scout?

I think Scout should let us sign up for test drives before we are invited to complete our builds and let a few of us ride along in Scouts in various trims and packages. It would make it a LOT easier to know what we want. But we will probably just have to wait for them to do that with vloggers...

Scout Traveler SUV Green Off-Road Concept

I also noticed this notch that is where the satellite dish would normally go. Not sure the purpose behind it, but my only advice to Scout is testing their roof racks in wind tunnels and road tests. Sometimes aftermarket racks whistle or howl and it can make for miserable road trips, which...

Scout Traveler SUV Green Off-Road Concept

The bumpers are perfect IMO. I’ve spent around $30k over the years in armor for my vehicles and those designs really nail what I want. No compromises in approach and departure angles and a modular design. The only thing I would add is prewiring for a light bar on the bumper hoop/stinger. Maybe...

    Young Scout Enthusiasts!

Same haha. I got a Redcat Scout “for the kids” during COVID too. But I have 4 kids and everyone was fighting over a turn with it. Then I got a TRX4 Bronco and then they fought over the “faster one”. Then we got a Redcat Scout Axe Edition. Then the TRX6 for me. We would take them to the...

How would you build your Scout?

Probably not feasible for how heavy these will be. If they were made the sidewalls would be so thick that the ride would be miserable.

This is a great video about Pizza Cutters. Kenda released a 35X10.50R17 R/T recently. A few friends run them and love them.

    Entry level Scout

I imagine 33” or 34” tires, steel roof, standard height coilover spring suspension, and basic color and interior options for the base. You’ll still get a rear locker, 4wd, and excellent ground clearance which are a very big deal for off-road capability that most base level trim Jeeps and...

One feature that made you pull the the trigger on a reservation….

The Harvester generator EREV models are projected to have a claimed 500 miles of range. The EREV is going to have 150 projected miles of range on the battery. Deduct the 150 battery miles from the 500 total miles and that leaves 350 miles of range with the Harvester generator. The fuel tank...
