  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Brake pedal behavior: Preference?

Ah thank you! That makes sense

    Brake pedal behavior: Preference?

Not sure what ICE is but my MIT's had one pedal driving but with paddle shifters that just give users the ability to reduce the one pedal to zero or more aggressive (0-5) 5 being the most so all users can find their favourite. Plus when coasting down hills it's nice to set the Regen paddles to a...

    Auto Brake Hold

Ah interesting, I never had the drag issues with my MIT's auto brake feature. You just simply press the gas and it releases instantly

Top Must Features: Auto brake hold, rain sensing windshield wipers, Regen shifter and one petal Regen, roof bars agility, and wireless carplay

Fair enough, you are proactive, that's good and it's nice to have someone here who can help level up Scout in the game with Rivian. I decided against the Rivian because of the range anxiety we have in BC Canada. We have a lot of wilderness between cities. The Scout offering the harvester option...

Top Must Features: Auto brake hold, rain sensing windshield wipers, Regen shifter and one petal Regen, roof bars agility, and wireless carplay

Ah interesting. So what brings you to Scout if you don't mind me asking? Are you thinking of selling your Rivian or getting both? Haha

Top Must Features: Auto brake hold, rain sensing windshield wipers, Regen shifter and one petal Regen, roof bars agility, and wireless carplay

Interesting! I am not sure how Rivian is but my MIT's Outlander PHEV sounds similar. No shuffling with the feet like you said and I can actively control the resistance to my one pedal driving with the paddles behind my steering wheel or just turn it off. My screen also had a gauge to tell me how...

Top Five Accessories For The New Scout

Hi! Looking forward to see the Scout! Some features I'd like to see: 1. Rain sensing wipers. - I live in The Specific "Wet" Coast of British Columbia Canada and we love that feature. It also must have a sensitivity dial so you can adjust it because we get all types of rain. 2. Brake Auto Hold...

Top Must Features: Auto brake hold, rain sensing windshield wipers, Regen shifter and one petal Regen, roof bars agility, and wireless carplay

Lol yeah I like having V8's in old trucks that are rust buckets because no one suspects it lol but not for this truck. Toys like a V8 cost to much, and the Scout I am hoping is reliable because it seems so practical. You get modern tech in an old school vibe. It's like the reverse of taking an...

    Brake pedal behavior: Preference?

You should check my post on this. I think there is a solution that my MIT's Outlander PHEV did that pleases everyone

Roof top bars that can mount on the box

Hey! So I know Rivian has this option with the roof top bars being able to mount from the roof onto the box but it's awesome. Scout should totally do it for the truck!

    Auto Brake Hold

Auto Brake Hold feature. - Whether your off roading behind someone on a hill slowly, stuck on brutal stop and go traffic or at a light, having the ability to press the brake once and then release it while it holds at any complete stop is sometimes the needed "brake" you were looking for. It's...

    Paddle Shifters For Adjusting Regen

Sorry I already posted this but I didn't know there was a thread going. Still new to forums. Regenerative Brake Shifter Paddles and one peddle driving that can be turned to zero by the paddles (so both!). - I understand this has been discussed but I own a Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV and it is...

    Paddle Shifters For Adjusting Regen

I disagree. It poses as an advantage for coming down hills and it's great. I do a lot off roading. My MIT's Outlander PHEV has 5 settings for Regen sensitivity and it's helpful. I wish my off roader had it
