  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Speculation Alert - possible Harvester Engine Choices

And also, to create a constant 35kw (without towing), you'll want bigger engine so it doesn't rev to 5-6k RPM to give you that 35kw. You'd want something capable of 90kw then run it at 1500-2000rpm to generate 35kw, for the NVH experience of the passenger

Do the math and see how many gallons you had to use for that much of taxes. In GA for example, my wife's EV pay 212 extra tax each year, that's equals to 5 years of gasoline use on my Maverick hybrid.

https://www.mybmwi3.com/threads/another-real-world-limp-mode-experience-and-observations.1990/ Check it out here on the i3 forum. What's your SOC when you cruising at 70? we are talking about when the battery SOC is low and it's only relying on the gas generator. Then it went into limp mode

Terra- Remove LED trim light on Tailgate

Got picture of the Euro Spec tail light you were referring to? Tell me you didn't mean just amber turn signal...

Yea, tell that to all these people on road. :ROFLMAO:

I do hope they can put that Cayman Boxer engine in there.

Speculation Alert - possible Harvester Engine Choices

I understand your logic, just your use of UNIT drives me crazy. Battery capacity is kWh, and it is KW x Hour, which is equal to what you said "~75kw". It's for a 75kW output engine run at peak performance and continue running for 1 hour, how much power it produces (75kWh). There's no such...

Well, on this behalf then yes. Even if it doesn't provide the full 500 miles of full performance, if it can get you that far at reduced performance, it would still be better than a pure BEV with only 250-350 miles range.

This is bull crap. with all the HD trucks and Semis, why the road do not fall apart, but only with EV? Wife's ID.4 is similar weight to a new aluminium body F150, it's also 1000 lbs lighter than my steel body F150. And I only pay $20 each year for the F150, no special taxes. The only heavy...

Heavy duty trucks are different stories. Eventually you'll need diesel, and it doesn't matter how many cylinders on those Cummins, lol

I owned almost all different power trains, I4, I6, V6, V8, ICE, HEV, BEV, only thing I haven't owned is PHEV because I think it's the worst of both worlds. Does this qualify me to say bad things about EV now?🤣

They will come back eventually. The new defender got a V8 model, although it's a small SUV

Stellantis do not really have a BEV yet. Even the ram charger's RE tech is coming from Chinese company Leap Motors, which is also known for "valued" product but not good quality product, just like fiat, Chrysler, or stellantis

That is correct. Especially this vehicle seems to be targeting the "outdoorsy" people.

Speculation Alert - possible Harvester Engine Choices

Negative. A main goal of REEV is it shouldn't change the way you live unlike BEV did. You should be able to have full capability not relying on charging network. Of course, people would charge whenever they can, but they shouldn't be limited to that. Otherwise it defeats the whole purpose of 500...

    TAKE YOUR TOP OFF

I'd rather have a strong body structure and roll cage than taking top off. Not everyone want a loud soft top like Gladiator. And I can confirm this since when I quote about changing up my Maverick to Gladiator, how many people came from Gladiator tell me "Don't Do It" in its forum. LOL

Terra- Remove LED trim light on Tailgate

No!!! That's one of the many things I like about it more than the SUV version. Don't listen to him, Scout. I'll cancel my order if that light is gone😆
