  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Audio system

I'm sure you're not but don't take this lightly Scout. You'd be surprised how something like this can bring down the desirability of a product. Its things that owners interact with everyday that you need to nail: seats, steering wheel, audio, infotainment, ingress/egress, HVAC, camera quality...

Running boards integrated into the lower molding?

I was looking at photos and also noticed in some angles of video that the vehicles appear to have an integrated running board (or at the very least a step). It seems more pronounced on the Terra than on the Traveler. I'm hoping it is at least an option so we don't have to get aftermarket...

    SCOUT TRAVELER FAQ

i would think thats part of the compromise. you get the option to open it up but it comes with the extra wind noise when closed. i would think its probably best for warmer climates where it doesnt rain as much.

Driver Assist Tech on the Terra and Traveler?

Has anyone heard what type of driver assist or autonomous driving features will be available with the vehicles at launch? I watched the reveal but don't think it was mentioned or maybe I missed it?

Entry Model Specs, Premium Model Price?

Scout has indicated both the Traveler and Terra will start under $60k for the entry model. It's likely the models shown during the reveal aren't the entry model. What do you think the specs will be for the entry model? Here's some speculation, it'd be interesting to hear what others think...

    Re-think Headlight Design

I love the overall look of Porsches but hate the 4-array headlight in some of their models 🤷‍♂️

So what if Volkswagen dealers win and stop direct sales?

I too will not step into a dealership to buy a new car. Such an outdated model. Hope Scout is able to sell direct to consumer as planned.

    Seattle Scouts

Hi, Didn't see a group yet for the Seattle/PNW area so thought I'd start one. Looking forward to connecting with other fans and enthusiasts of the Terra and Traveler and future Scout vehicles. I'm in the Seattle area and currently own an R1T and a couple of hybrids. I put in a reservation for...

    Re-think Headlight Design

I'm not a huge fan of the 4 array headlight design, looks too similar to the ones Porsche uses. Also kinda looks like a merge of the Porsche and Bronco lights. IMO, its not actually that distinctive/iconic. I do really like how the DRL blends into the side/parking light and the light bar...

Please, No Free Fast Charging Credits

Fair points. Considering it Scout be NACS native, having access to free Tesla SCs or Rivian Adventure Network should eliminate most of the bad charging experiences. Doesn't stop tools from being tools and charging to 100% though. There are also folks though that don't have access to or the...

How will service be offered for Scout Vehicles?

Shout out to another community user for sharing this post with me but looks like they are going to open their own service centers, similar to the way Tesla and Rivian handle service. Historically, both of them have had trouble with this model as its complex on a number of levels. Hope Scout...

So what does everyone think of the first new Scout designs...

Knocked it out of the park. Design, specs, features all look great. Can't wait to learn more to understand the daily drivability and usability of the vehicles outside of off pavement adventures.

How will service be offered for Scout Vehicles?

Amazing reveal and from what you shared looks like amazing vehicles. I put down a reservation for the Traveler. Once question I have is about the service model you plan to employ. It sounds like you're going to be offering direct to consumer sales. Does this mean you won't have a dealership...

    SCOUT TRAVELER FAQ

Great info, thanks for sharing. Can you share more about the range extender? Its stated that battery + gas will give an estimated 500 miles of range. Can share how much range we could expect on battery only? And any more info on how the generator works to charge the battery? If its a...
