  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Hmmm, I guess that's one way to do it, but kinda dumb imo.

What 16 Metro's Will Scout Launch?

They can still go with Scoutposts, would be unique enough.

What 16 Metro's Will Scout Launch?

Rivian has already created these, what they call "outposts", in Yosemite and Joshua Tree National Park for charging, pit stop with snacks and merch for sale, water and coffee free. They also have "spaces" that are like an REI store with vehicles you can see, touch and test drive (if the state...

    Adjustable ride height

At the stated starting price of $60k, doubt it. Guess they could add it to the upper trims, but price is going to be high and add more complexity.

    Referral Program

A referral/rewards program would be awesome. Please don't let it be just about Youtubers and Social Media elites benefitting while the rest of us never see any benefit. That's pretty much what the Tesla and Rivian rewards program is.

    CLOSED! Audio System Brand Poll

This list is suspect to begin with because some of those brands don't even make in-vehicle audio systems afaik. B&W is the best sounding system I have ever heard in a vehicle. Other high send systems would be Meridian and Mark Levinson. A notch below that would be Bose/HK/B&O. Forget the rest.

    Bourgeoisie leather seating please! ;-)

I would love a genuine leather option. Vegan leather is a great alternative and should be offered as well but for those who want real leather, please consider making it available.

    Scout resonates with consumers

I am a Rivian owner and follow them on various social media platforms like FB, YT, IG, I’m obviously a fan of Scout as well and following them on the same platforms and what I’m seeing is interesting. Scout is regularly getting as many or more likes as Rivian. A company that has been selling...

Road Trip in a VW Buzz: Success or Train Wreck

    a) VW software is not good - this is why they are partnering with Rivian. b) Some of their issues were poor planning but a lot of the stuff TFL does is by the seat of their pants so no surprise. c) The ID-Buzz has pretty low range to start, winter obviously makes it a lot worse and they were in...

Poll - Scout With Crabwalk or Turn Assist?

id say no. adds complexity and cost. being an EV, and with the Harvester, will be complex already. simplify where you can. benefits Scout and customers.

Adaptive Driving beams and thermal imaging.

$60k is going to be for the base model, very unlikely to have all the options we saw at the reveal. but to your point, if battery prices do come down they may be able to squeeze in more features for that same price. id guess the decked out versions they showed would be closer to $80k and to...

Adaptive Driving beams and thermal imaging.

yes, please implement adaptive headlights! this should be posted in the Suggestion Box if it hasn't already. it'll certainly improve safety for Scout drivers but also benefits other drivers not being blinded. headlight brightest has increased a lot over the past 5-10 years with LEDs. i...

Scout to have dashcams. But better than….

i probably should have been more specific. i own an Gen1 R1T and the camera quality is not good, ie. i cannot make out license plates unless its close to the camera and ideal conditions. Rivian improved it with Gen2 cameras being much higher quality. just hoping Scout accounts for this from...

Scout to have dashcams. But better than….

Wow, thats a long wish list. I just hope its good enough quality that you can make out license plate numbers and doesn't limit advanced driver assistance features.

CR New Car Brands Reliability / Scout Projected Reliability?

Yeah, would definitely help to know what data they have, how they gathered the data, what questions they asked, is it statistically significant, etc. But if were going to accept the "good" report we have to also accept the "bad" one.
