  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Diesel generator

I can appreciate your situation, but 99.9 % of people will never encounter similar conditions. Diesel isn't a positive for the average vehicle buyer (heavier engine, more expensive fuel, not as prevalent as gas). We don't know how much power is needed to generate the required electricity...

    Driving Sounds

I would like Scout to record engine sounds from different IH Scouts. It would be cool to have the option to pipe them through the speakers and disable them when not wanted.

Traveler Ride Quality and NVH Expectations

Correct. It was early 2022 before any improvements. Although, they still have complaints about the new 2025's. That's what journalists do. https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/a61003046/2025-rivian-r1s-drive/

Traveler Ride Quality and NVH Expectations

People who have driven both the R1T and R1S notice the difference in driving dynamics. It doesn't sound like different expectations between pickup and SUV owners. They are both built on the same platform, after all. R1S has a wheelbase almost 15 inches shorter. Here's what Car and Driver...

    Scout Motors at CES 2025

Another great video! Kyle makes an interesting suggestion for Scout to use Rivian motors. That's the first time I've heard it proposed. I wonder if Rivian would be able to meet production demands, especially with their own R2 and R3 coming.

Scout shows off the UX at CES!

Back in the 90's SAAB had Night Panel mode which muted the dash except for the speedometer. A great idea.

    Size comparison

17" difference with tire. 207.9" vs 190.9". Has it been determined if the Harvester nullifies mounting the spare underneath? It would be impressive if they both fit.

Thanks for the update, Jamie! It's great to see more features. I'm excited to see the Rallye graphics.

Owners manual in advance of delivery

Some automakers let you download an owner's manual for free if you have a VIN number. That would be one way. The VIN will be known before you take delivery.

2025 Ram 1500 Ramcharger Production Run Will Be Short

They've already extended production of the Durango with the Hellcat and Hemi engines for another year. They're making quick decisions.

Why Scout Motors Must Assure Customers of High Quality and Well-Built SUV

Rivian is definitely as asset. Software problems seems to be the biggest issue in EV's. Fisker rushed the Ocean to market before it was sorted out, probably hoping any issues could be solved with OTA updates. GM might have introduced the Blazer EV too early, but they wisely did a stop-sale until...

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

Pretty much all EV's have a battery management system to keep the battery at an optimum temperature in hot or cold weather. A parked EV will draw power to keep the battery in the "sweet spot". Smart EV's will allow you to precondition the battery to optimize charging time or max performance.
