  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

One feature that made you pull the the trigger on a reservation….

BEV + modern-retro styling + physical switchgear + split tailgate.

Interesting article about the engineering underneath the new Scouts

Same - honestly I'm drawn to the modern-retro design + physical switchgear. Perhaps a configuration with on-road/soft-road bias might be offered? My use case is probably more Rivian and the exterior design is fine for what it is. But not doing that interior.

March 2025 Scout Production Center Update

Might this event be on the radar? We might return to HH for it - Hilton Head Island Concours d'Elegance & Motoring Festival Nov 01 - Nov 02, 2025 https://www.hhiconcours.com/

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

Amber turn signals in back - safety advantage. Plaid seats - perhaps one light color and one dark. Just had this done on my Volvo XC90 -

    Delivery date

My guess is Q4 2027 as MY28. We'd likely aim for late-2028/early-MY29 based on when next kid gets drivers license and its time to upsize the family motor pool.

That's amazing. Could you make the guy in orange as a dirty-blonde?

We'll definitely come back from No. VA. Please advise save-the-dates well in advance so I have plenty of time to spin rationale to pull boys out of school.

The Road to Scout Production - All the latest updates in one place...

Well I saw him in a vehicle as we approached the 'Forging the Future' shed - I wanted a photo of boys in front of that big Scout logo. But then he drove up like 10 ft. towards us for the (mild) interrogation. Funny I didn't notice what he was driving, now I'm curious if BEV or if he was...

If you combine the best attributes of those two boys in front of the Red House, you'd have one solid Eagle Scout contender. So we'll see how that goes...

The Road to Scout Production - All the latest updates in one place...

Well there's a bit of satire in there. I thought of asking security guy to take our photo in front of "Forging the Future" shed after he asked us to leave, but didn't think he'd appreciate the ask. Our boys really enjoyed the stop, one now wants to work for a large construction contractor...

OK we did our drive-by a few days ago, finally holding in one place for a bit so could make time to organize photos. A few notes - Stayed in the delightful and luxurious Home2 Suites nearby. Best Only option for Hilton. Our view from top floor facing west didn't reveal too much from afar due...

Yeah, yeah. I think access to the Red House via Blythewood Rd. is a bit west of the road that provides best view of construction - Locklier Rd. or Community Rd.? But don't know what roads/accesses/entry points are available/best for trespassing viewing, etc. We're arriving Sat night from VA...

I’m doing a drive-by this weekend, how best to navigate around the site?

Someone call an ambulance. (I just asked Chapt GPT to roast the Scout Traveler)

Hilarious, love it. I suspect CEO Keough has a solid sense of humor and would secretly be rolling in laughter over it. We have our factory site drive-by coming up in just a few weeks, heading south for spring break.

    Traveler without rear tire carrier

To suspect is not to assert. We'll see.

    Traveler without rear tire carrier

I suspect there will be three prospective locations for spare - carrier, under, and inside - but under won't be possible w/ EREV's ICE. I'm all in for BEV w/out carrier. YMMV.

International Harvester Sierra Fall Rallye appearance?

How about a viewing event at corporate HQ in Tysons Corner? Parking deck could be helpful, plus swanky catering from Fogo de Chão. I think I missed my calling as an event planner.

    Traveler without rear tire carrier

I think it looks better in black - contrast brings out design cues, etc. Especially w/out carrier blocking easy access to split tailgate.
