  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Scout Design Ideas

For me, the Scout 2 size is just about perfect. You can carry 5 people and still have pretty good storage behind the 2nd row. It's still easy to park in an urban area or fit down a tight trail or driveway, but it's not tiny. In addition, because it's electric, you can have a huge front frunk...

    Learn from the Bronco

YES! I love my WT floor liners

So what does everyone think of the first new Scout designs...

So, on that point, as someone who has wished for the option to buy a new Scout since I was a 7 year old in 1980 who was head over heels for my uncle's Scout. Is there a way that community members here can get in on pre-order/foundation series/etc? I'd be first in line.

    Ideas for the scout pickup

One thing I really like is the built in tool boxes some of the RAM trucks have in the bed. It's dead space but a great way to keep a few tools, parts, etc. Having one be an ice chest is a nice idea too (with a drain). One of these could have a 120V outlet fed off the truck battery to charge...

    Different packages

I love that and assumed there would be a lot of packages, though the Bronco almost has too many where it's tough to actually figure out what you'd want. I think the idea of regional packages is super super cool and als long as people can get what they want if they don't want a regional package...

    Learn from the Bronco

Maybe a better way is snap in/snap out carpet that can be removed in a minute to pull out to either clean, upgrade, or remove in advance of dirty work. This would allow you to have plush carpet when you're running around town, but be able to pop them out ahead of a trip to the hills/etc.

    What Are You Driving Now?

1973 Scout 2 (finishing the resto and paint right now!) 1971 Travelall 1210 (goes to resto in Feb) 2015 Mercedes GL450 (new Scout will replace this when they are available) 2003 Prius (just a runaround car we bought from my mother in law to encourage her to stop driving)

Should Scout adopt the NACS (Tesla) charging system

I'll pile on to Rustic_father's early post. Absolutely have the Tesla plug and have the computer be able to seemlessly communicate with the supercharger. Because this is a Scout, and we want to be able to have the most options, please do include both plugs and make the computer able to easily...

Should Scout adopt the NACS (Tesla) charging system

While 90% of charging will be at home for me, I like the Tesla standard, particularly if the truck can accept a rapid charge. Of course, we'd want the option to have other adapters that let us use a level 2 charger if that's the closest thing we can find on a trip, but I'd road trip using Tesla...

Top Five Accessories For The New Scout

I like a lot of these ideas. A winch and a softop option are really important. I also like the idea of a camp package for the SUV. This could be an improvement/evolution from the old school tents that snapped on the back and extend it out so you can sleep 2 behind the front seats. I'd also...

    Second Scout Teaser Image Released

It's very exciting to see this. I think it will be fascinating as the details emerge on the final styling, as well as the capabilities. Beyond range/etc, I think it's interesting to wonder if it's a two row or three row vehicle, and what some of the potential features will be. It's a very...
