Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

    How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

    Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy.     Move Harvester generator to frunk

    I was thinking they were putting the gas tank in where some of the battery was, but I don't think we're talking about a big tank. Seems they could keep the Harvester where it is, move the gas tank to the bottom of the frunk and install a large battery. Frunk space would be reduced a bit, but...

    Power windows, power locks, power steering and a pair of lockers is all I want. Running on battery power though, heated and ventilated seats would be good as they allow me to run less heat and AC, helping the range.

    Sounds like the proposed 500-mile range of the Harvester should be plenty to get you there and back, but you'll be using some gas along the way. I don't think any other 4wd EV would get you there and back in the winter without stopping for charging, assuming you have an available charging...

    Based on all the dents and scratches in the roof of my Toyota, I definitely want a SOLID metal roof. Please don't make it out of tinfoil. It should still be lighter than a sunroof or glass top, so use some beefier sheet metal in the stamping please.

    I can't help but think of To Kill a Mockingbird when I hear the name, and that's not a bad thing for a girl! Also love the square-body. That's my favorite front fender style and makes me miss my old '77 Suburban with the 454.

    Hopefully they'll offer upgrade masks for front and rear. I'd personally like to see amber turn signals on the rear. The rest of the world recognizes them as being safer and more conspicuous, but the US just doesn't seem to get it.

    Or I could connect a duct to it and route it to a tent beside the truck, into a teardrop camper or stick it down into some wet boots to dry them, etc. Heat or AC when camping would be a game-changer for my wife.

    I think I'd rather have the smaller battery and lower curb weight if the Harvester can provide enough juice to the battery. Less weight to lug around lets the electrons move the truck farther.
