Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

    How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

    Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy.     Agreed regardless of anyone’s political beliefs without jobs Americans don’t have money. Nothing against importing things but it shouldn’t be cheaper to build a car in another country then ship here than to build here.

    They seem to have taken steps to lower the cost the on the erev models. I agree with the affordability point. But I also think that by coming with such a low number they would be losing a good chunk of sales. Hopefully they will find a nice middle ground of keeping cost down and still be capable.

    My guess is that they will use the original colors as inspiration for the new models. As someone else said most new cars have some metallic in the paint. They could more than likely match the original colors with modern paint. But they have to take into account. How well it looks with the body...

    It is very cool that you guys brought a couple of one off concept cars for jay to drive. I just hope the scout models we get aren’t overly watered down versions of the concept cars like we normally get (bronco). Would love to see a couple pics of the winter testing or a video.

    I think the battery pack for the harvester models will be more towards the front axle than the rear to apply more weight to the steering axle. But a boulder in frunk would work too😂

    Really good point on the tongue weight. Personally I think by the time all is said and done the tow rating for the traveler harvester will be around the 6000lbs range +- which is pretty good. It’s likely that the 5000lbs number was a safe number to put out until they get some things ironed out.

    I could definitely see a mode that uses awd to get moving. Then switching rear motor only being useful at saving battery life. Could possibly save from some tire wear as well since these things will have so much torque.

    I live in the mountains so the range lost by climbing grades matter a lot to me. They could simply run the towing test with a box trailer which has no aerodynamics with extra weight added to make it to max weight then one test solves both questions. The ramcharger seems to have found a good...
