  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

Yeah I’ve always been partial to Chevys shifter. Some of the other brands I’ve seen feel like they’ll fall off if you’re not careful.

I actually like the column shifter never been a fan of the button style or the twist knob ram uses reminds me of a kids toy 😂

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

I was talking more about the base model version not being a completely stripped down model. Like jeep and the bronco has been done

Me too so I’m keeping my fingers crossed

Also I really hope that they will keep both models mostly like the concepts and don’t strip everything that makes the concepts so cool on the base model.

Yeah I’m sure we barely know anything about what it’s taken to get this far.

Hopefully scout can keep out of dealerships. I did see a interview where scott kind of broke down the relationship between scout and vwag. He basically said that when they started the company it was setup in a way that made it separate from vw but still under the group.

Dealers are just mad that they won’t be able to jack the price up well over msrp and rip people off. I think most manufacturers are still mad over the prices during covid. It looks bad on the brand when your dealers are ripping people off.

Speculation Alert - possible Harvester Engine Choices

I knew they was planning an option for a spare in the bed. I didn’t know if it was required for the harvester though.

Speculation Alert - possible Harvester Engine Choices

I’m still trying to figure out where they will put the harvester on the terra. I don’t see a 33” spare and the generator fitting behind the axle.

Speculation Alert - possible Harvester Engine Choices

I think someone had a ball park of 35kw around 50hp that’s not towing though and based on similar sized vehicles efficiency rates.

Speculation Alert - possible Harvester Engine Choices

It looks like it should fit without a ton of work to me.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

It’s definitely interesting I could see it being very useful but the price seems like it would completely put it out of market for the people that would buy it I would expect it to be around the price of a maverick mid 20’s to low 30’s

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

I’m going have to say no to the headlight beam switch in the floor I’m way to used to it being on the column 😂

Harvester generator gas and not diesel

dang I wanted it to have dual 12 valve Cummins with a 100 gallon roof top tank

Harvester generator gas and not diesel

Community forums could be very useful but they usually just end up with a bunch of arguments over something that’s really not even important.

Harvester generator gas and not diesel

Wait I can’t get a removable top that will leak every time I put it back on 😂
  18. Badams

Harvester generator gas and not diesel

There really isn’t any need to argue about this. The simple fact is scout chose to use gas. We can all come up with reasons of why diesel generators are great. As well as come up reasons why they don’t fit certain applications. At the end of the day scout is building it the way they think is...
