  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

What 16 Metro's Will Scout Launch?

Would like a Scout Service Center to be built in Southern Florida, around the West Palm Beach area, I think it is likely since there is a high volume of Teslas, Rivians, and Lucids. And currently there is a Tesla and Lucid Center around here not sure if there is a Rivian one here or down South...

How Will Scout Keep Its Momentum Until 2027?

Basically, just as long as they deliver on what they said so for regarding price etc. also it does come out in 2027 and not get delayed. Even though I would be ok if it did get delayed because it needed more testing to work out bugs. Since the initial models need to be tested enough, there can...

5 *color* choices yet only one actual color

We are still far away from launch so Scout can easily add more color options before then so I wouldn't worry about it yet.

    Scout Color Poll #1

If Scout offers this color yellow or something similar, this with black Rallye graphics is what my Scout would like.

    Ideas for Scout Engineers

Someone mentioned before a camera rear view mirror, that is a great idea especially for the Traveller with the rear spare tire. Since driving a wrangler now with a rear mounted spare and the rear-view mirror I barely use since the tire blocks almost the whole view, but if it was a camera video...

    Drivetrain

As much as I would like a V8 if I wanted that I would go get a Wrangler 392 its not manual but you get paddle shifters at least. But I realistically don't want to get 7 mpg and have to buy premium fuel. The whole point of the Scout with the harvester is to daily in EV mode and then use the...

Range extender - please adjust spec to 250 miles of EV Range

I saw that TFL video, the only range extended vehicle that the US had so far was the BMW i3 and the issue with that is BMW mad the extender way too small so it still qualified for California EV credits. It was so small that performance suffered using it so I doubt Scout will have the harvester...

    Range and Competitiveness

It needs that big of a gas tank to get that range the 3.6 V6 is thirsty, I own it now in my wrangler and get 16 mpg but I do mostly highway. In Range extender form where it may be less stressed it will probably be around 20 mpg for my guess.

    Ideas for Harvester

2 best Harvester Range extender ideas I have both are VW group engines: 1. (Fun Option, Suggested Before I just like the idea)- Base 2.0L 4cyl boxer turbo or N/A from Porsche 718 Cayman/Boxer- >Pros- Plenty of power, sounds great for a 4cyl so it might be enjoyable to hear it turn on in range...

    Ideas for Harvester

Since Diesel is 99% not happening, also a small enough Diesel engine would not require DEF since I have seen small tractors not have DEF that are brand new but that small of a Diesel is likely not powerful enough for what is needed also it would need to be brought in since VW does not make a...

Range extender - please adjust spec to 250 miles of EV Range

I am happy with 150 mile range on EV or even 100 mile range only on pure EV, but only if when using the range extender it does not sacrifice performance, acceleration, torque etc.
