  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    More Pondering

One of the questions I received from my wife recently, given her growing interest in the new Scout Traveler, is as follows. She watched the captivating commercial where a woman calls her father and exclaims, “Dad, we did it! We made a new Scout!” Subsequently, she hops into the Traveler and...

Scout Connection Center Columbia, South Carolina

I didn't realize BMW did the entire build process notifications. That would be very cool. Our Ford & Lincoln vehicle only gave simple notification for order placed, build date, build complete & vehicle shipped.

    Future plans for after-sale updates

    Future plans for after-sale updates

I agree with the degree of undertaking. I recently have gotten my wife very interested in the Scout Traveler, this was one of many of her questions. :)

    Future plans for after-sale updates

I am curious about Scout Motors’ future plans for after-sale updates. Specifically, I am interested in whether they have any intentions of swapping a customer’s Harvester powertrain with a fully electric vehicle powertrain.

How Are Electric Vehicles Taxed in Your State?

That's a very good question. Will Harvester be considered a hybrid? It fits the definition of hybrid. (hybrid of a motor vehicle) having both a gasoline engine and an electric motor, each of which can propel it: these hybrid cars can be driven over short distances in electric-only mode.

Switching Harvester to All EV Model?

"is that it’s not necessary to change our reservation to the BEV and when it’s time to order we can change even at that point." That is my understanding as well. However, once you have Scout's equivalent to a DORA (Dealer Order Receipt Acknowledgement) changing things could be more difficult.

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

V2X is very desirable. Let's hope they do it.

Range extender - please adjust spec to 250 miles of EV Range

Welcome to the Scout community. I think everyone says they would love more capacity on the Harvesters battery. We will have to wait and see if they can squeak out a little more once the Harvester design is complete.
